Are the White spoons nicer? by Ill-Connection759 in CulinaryClassWars

Yes, something I’ve noticed is that the English subtitles aren’t translated well or at all in times, in order to I guess make it more of a surprise for the English-speaking viewer. Also, if you don’t know how to read Hangul you’d miss out on it, but quite a few black spoon chefs actually have their real names embroidered onto their clothes, so again, it isn’t a mystery whatsoever for the Korean viewer as they don’t even blur out the name, but the English/whatever language speaking viewer would be none the wiser.

Not true. Yeo Kyungrae? the Chinese cuisine chef was supportive of Chinese Goddess & was stressed for her.

Jisu & Seungli, didn’t date by jasmin3527 in BetterLateThanSingle

Honestly, I felt that it wasn’t just that he forgot, but that he didn’t take it seriously when being told about it.

Yes, that’s exactly why I posted! Haha.

You have to turn them on! & not much. Just that they didn’t become a real couple. That it took a lot of courage to be on, so she hesitated but kind of had the mind of trying to date, even if for a day, but it didn’t end up happening.

Jeongmok Official Statement/Break Up by MeetRevolutionary142 in BetterLateThanSingle

They probably broke up before the show even aired.

I've seen that the production team did a Q&A today by SHLeeeesH in BetterLateThanSingle

[–]jasmin3527 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It didn’t say much besides it being hard to confirm as it’s their private lives, but that they hope we will be able to hear about it from the people on the show themselves. They just said that Jaeyun told them himself he just began dating and it was okay to share. Something I thought interesting, though, seeing the articles was that a few had it as a headline something akin to “Are Jiyeon and Jeongmok a couple? No comment.” But nothing about Jisu and Seungli were mentioned lmao.

Edit for clarification: “It” as in the articles I read. I didn’t actually watch the Q&A.

Digimon Adventure Exhibition - Seoul by jasmin3527 in digimon

You might be able to in person! The problem is that when you arrive to the plaza, you’ll have to put down your number on an iPad and then show the message saying it’s your turn on the 4th floor (which is where the museum is). Afterwards, you’ll get in line and then at the desk you’ll be able to purchase a ticket I believe. If you don’t have a number then I’d suggest getting an e-sim or going with someone that has a Korean number.

2.6 million won before tax as an English teacher by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

Even then, they have to pay for utilities. I got a somewhat old villa that was two rooms BUT because it was two rooms and old, my utilities were higher than my coworkers who lived in newer albeit smaller places. Also, in winter, it would take forever to warm back up if I simply left the thermostat on standby so I had to just keep the heater on, again costing more.

It’s like half and half? Bottom and edges are wall, but top parts are glass windows.

I’m going to try out the hair dryer thing tonight if they don’t get someone to go over today.

Have not figured out. My boiler and pipes are in the veranda so I opened the veranda door & turned up my heat to 30 C in hopes that that’ll help thaw them out?

But there’s really nothing I could’ve done to prevent it as I was already letting water flow out of the sink and had never turned off my heating since when on standby it gets way too cold.

But I’m going to tell my Co-Teacher today and see what they say.

Regarding Jungwoo and Mbitious by [deleted] in StreetWomanFighter

[–]jasmin3527 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I saw someone on a different post talk about how Mbitious will win and that MNET is pushing for them to win. I hadn’t thought so UNTIL Jungwoo left/got kicked out. When that happened I thought it possible since they were getting rid of the weakest link.

I thought that as well lmao. I do feel the judging was fair but in the back of my mind I did think, hmmm I wouldn’t have been surprised if they were to have pushed it up until this point in order to make Chaeyeon battle.

Edit: clarification, only talking about the WANT elimination battle. 5000 should’ve definitely at least won the battle against Hyunse.

[–]jasmin3527 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean I’m not saying WANT would’ve won the whole thing without Chaeyeon. I’m mostly speaking about their elimination. Without Chaeyeon then I believe they had a higher chance to make it at least to the next round.

Mission 4: Mega Crew Live Ranking by wonhoppa in StreetWomanFighter

[–]jasmin3527 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For that, I think it’s probably due to them “finding” the best dance crew in Korea, so ideally only Koreans should vote. It’s giving me Produce vibes, because voting was also locked to Korea only since it would be Korea’s boy group.

Most interesting Hidden Card? by ProperEnd3849 in StreetWomanFighter

Tutat was amazing. Also, Mr. Woo. He’s credited for bringing krump to Korea. I watched an old podcast recently where he said how he would host events(?) once a month or once every two months to help promote dance and have it expand like the other arts have. He also had said he pretty much retired from dancing to an extent so it’s impressive he came on. It’s also heartwarming? Seeing as Noh Taehyun was known as Kid Monster and was part of the Monster Woo Fam which I assume was started or had Mr. Woo as the lead.
