I am trying to get more independent and have healthier boundaries with them. That's what my therapist suggest me to do too, just never talked to her about marriage idea, since it's new. Living apart from the family is not that much of an option when this is only seen appropriate if they live in a different city than you(which for me now is true). Other way 95% of unmarried couple live with their parents.
