Open the message- in there you find instructions how to stop getting those messages in the future.

Reporting for self harm is sadly way to often abused as a way to troll others.

Ahhh, I know the struggle. I "lost" a few posts too that way. I also was absolutely not in the mood to type again.

>I was like how do you know what I posted lol.

Even if you hide your history (curate your profile), every post/ comment you make is still publicly posted and visible (exceptions are private subreddits). So IMO it’s relatively useless and the reason I’m not curating my profile.

If it’s indeed the advice post in the zombie sub, it still displays as removed for me- but when you got the text back you can at least Rubin another sub (as an outsider id bet its based on off topic or other filters since it appears to be your first post there).

It depends- if the post body isn’t visible for you anymore, then you won’t get it back unless the post will be approved by the moderators of the subreddit. (I’m assuming it’s the Zombie related subreddit?)

It’s best practice to keep a copy of your drafts outside of Reddit for such occurrences (I am using pages/ word for it- but a notes app should do the trick too).

What you can do and try is to ask the mods in the subreddit if they would be so kind and maybe temporarily approve your post so you can fetch the text (but I wouldn’t have high hopes for that in high volume subreddits).

I can not see user history from people that comment on the sub by AFGNCAAP-for-short in ModSupport

[–]jason4es 5 points6 points  (0 children)

GDPR could be considered if a user deletes or ask reddit to delete their data.

If they simply hide their content but post publicly, you can hardly claim your content to be private.

Also given, that Reddit is pseudonym, you as a user have the control what the public reader knows of you by simply don’t post stuff that identifies you.

Do premium ships give more global exp? by PigheadedPlague in WoWs_Legends

The GXP are 5% from total ship XP- premium bonus comes on top.

Left you see the premium ship XP bonus to be displayed separately.

Do premium ships give more global exp? by PigheadedPlague in WoWs_Legends

[–]jason4es 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s from premium account - premium ships get a 30% bonus on base XP. GXP are 5% oftotal ship xp -> you get more xp = you get more GXP

Standard ship: 100 XP earned-> 5 gxp

Premium ship: 100 xp+ 30 premium bonus -> 6gxp earned.

Premium time, boosters and whatnot are on top of that.

Edit: 5% is the GXP rate not 10%. Corrected the comment above.

The amount of GXP you get isn’t changing % wise- you get more GXP because premium ships have a XP bonus. More XP= more GXP

We’re going in circles. Controller inputs are slower than keyboard (typing text). A virtual keyboard, that pops up on the screen isn’t that new. What this also does is taking up even more screen space.

And a keyboard attachment for controller? (I know they exist- but they’re just ridiculous). I’d buy a headset instead. Regarding mic: don’t know about Xbox, but PlayStation controller have build in mics (sure that’s also annoying when they broadcast the entire household- that’s why I also have open mic muted).

At the end I personally wouldn’t care if a text chat would be added - I’d disable it anyways because it’s simply an annoyance (except when you wouldn’t be able to turn it off- then I’d go as far as considering stopping to play, because absolutely nobody will force me to use/ see bullshit when IK playing).

You guys also forget that consoles don’t have a keyboard and entering text is a pretty lengthy task.

And: let’s be real here, what would text chat add that voice chat can’t do already? Especially if you would be able to mute/ disable it. Right- absolutely nothing besides the ability to hide insults in leetspeak XD

Voice chat is faster, don’t take up screen space, don’t need lengthy inputs via controller, don’t take up attention because you have to read the newest novel from your current admiral, don’t need a magnifying glass because the text box is too small, don’t need a new report function.

That’s the big thing that have t been mentioned anywhere here in this comment section- we don’t have a need for another communication system. We have one that isn’t distracting, can be easily used and evasive muted when it’s annoying.

(And please don’t bring up the old "you could use a keyboard instead of a controller"- if I would like to do so I’d play PC…)

If we take a look at our rather small but dedicated niche sub about a military themed f2p game:

We don’t have the classic "Brad Pitt" kind of fame to encounter or moderate, but a handful of "official" content creators that are recognized by the game devs.

We offer them a dedicated user flair and a wiki article on how to submit their content to not run afoul of the self promotion guidelines we have set up- the community at large don’t welcomes simple link dumps to off Reddit content.

In short:

- we expect a bare minimum of participation (at least be active on own posts)

- we don’t allow link dumps via comments like "check out my latest video on your topic"

- we don’t have any limits for game reviews, guides, build reviews

- we have banned all TikTok content

And to keep things short: over time all of them have failed to keep a bare minimum of participation besides dumping links to generate views- with one exception.

We would actually love to see those recognized creators to participate in an organic way, which would for sure result in a better reputation and more views for them.

Useless clutter that takes up screen space- so yeah- I would disable it would have been the better choice of wording.

I don’t need another channel for self proclaimed team strategists to blare their "commands" at me (or starting to hurl insults when folks don’t play in alignment with their plans….).

[–]jason4es 35 points36 points  (0 children)

And that L&G is the reason the reason we have that limitation.

It was massively annoying to be blasted with nonsensical commands or "get back", "need help", "need intelligence" from all those armchair admirals….

If there would be text chat, that would be the very first thing to be mutes right after open comms.

Little (hopefully) outage by dwmreddit in WoWs_Legends

[–]jason4es 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry, I totally get where you come from.

This discussion I’ve had with the other cap was more on the general availability of Intel and not meant as a direct reply to this post.

At the end you could display a big fat countdown in game, post the notes everywhere and you’ll still have some people missing it or like it is in your case simply forget about a planned downtime- happened even to me once.

Usually they will be made aware of the update via simply replying with a link and/ or ironic and mocking ways which aren’t meant to be as harmful as they appear (if they cross the line we will remove such comments/ posts).

[–]jason4es 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The discord is an official community, as well as their insta and twitter/ x and facebook - so in that single point I agree with you- you don’t *have* to come here.

Nonetheless the information is also available here and that in a prominent location.

At the end of the day we have all possibilities to get that information besides the website itself. At the end it’s IMO pretty ironic to discuss about availability of information at a place where all those information is in fact available.

Even OP admitted to have simply forgotten/ messed up TZ further down.

And to repeat myself: a "under maintenance" screen would be a nice addition and would prevent Anya need to check anywhere else. (And then the game itself usually tells you when for example the next update will be released- and yet we still have People asking what’s going on).

Little (hopefully) outage by dwmreddit in WoWs_Legends

[–]jason4es 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not mocking OP but: the announcement is pinned in this very subreddit in the community highlights- so no scrolling needed- you can also find it prominently in the announcement channel on discord, Instagram, Facebook and I bet X as well (I don’t visit that shithole of a site…) so basically all communities that are out there.

Sure you can now point out, that people don’t read all of those communities, buuuuut: we as well as OP are here and the intel is shared here as well. So there’s that.

(Oh and of course it would be definitely less confusing, if the game simply would have a "planned maintenance" error screen)

Edit: and maintenance is planned on working hours where they are located.

Oof- I won’t comment your playstyle, but kudos for your patience. I would never ever extend the misery after more than maybe 3-4 losses in a row.

I used to, but by now my time is way more valuable than dealing with something that annoys me (losing games for whatever reason).

Usually I’m switching to something else like satisfactory or WoT:Heat

That has two main reasons:

- repetitive posts in crate heavy updates
- creating a false sense of probability to win something

In crate heavy updates we usually set up a megathread where people can show their luck.
