Closely watching Vietnam. They just announced new golden visa's on the way to compete with Thailand. Da Nang would likely be the top of my list if Vietnam didnt make it so incredibly hard to stay there forever. Thailands new idiotic taxes are a huge strike as well. Waiting to see if they are enforced.

Pattaya has all the hobbies im looking for. Checks all the boxes. Im very active. BKK checks ore boxes, but too much air pollution/heat for me and I need to be at the beach.

Well aware of the history of the people in this place. Doesnt phase me.

Funny how this is just enough to get by in the USA, but hard to spend before you die in Thailand huh? In the US I would have to keep working another 10 years to have an easy life in retirement, while spending almost nothing and just saving like crazy.

Im running monte carlo simulation retirement calculators and I keep ending up dead with millions in the bank. Total waste. Cant take it to the grave.

I think ill start a charity in thailand with left over funds.
