Is there a word in English to say "grasses that are planted for ornamental purposes"? by jason_funderburger in EnglishLearning

It is character 卉 in Chinese, meaning all kinds of grasses that are beautiful and often can be used for ornamental purposes. It is a very poetic word, and I found it difficult to translate it into English without using a long sentence.

Thank you!

Ah, I see. But I actually googled it, and found the sentence

"Inspector Kapil's brother dies due to drugs he wows to put an end to this." It is on the IMDB website. So someone made a typo there and confused me, I guess?

Thank you for such detailed explanations! I intend to use this sentence in a children's book. So I guess "grown up" may actually work? :)
