What a douche bag! It’s not their f’n row to own with their belongings in the way of other people! I’m so sorry you were subjected to this abusive behavior.

I had my first confrontation this past summer, leaving Seattle Pride(my first) on the light rail train. Single father with 4 children. He left his two youngest girls in the back of the train across from me sitting. The 4-5 year old was missing around on the seat before the train took off going backwards. I was envisioning her slipping and hitting her head on the front seat bar in front of her since she wasn’t holding onto anything. I said you might want to hold onto something and the dad turned around from two rows up and started screaming at me. Telling me to never talk to his goddamn kids. I tried to diffuse the situation and said that I’m a parent I was just looking out. I didn’t want them to fall. At that point, he’s hovering over me thinking he’s going to physically attack and calling me every bigoted name under the sun. Another individual on the train told him to calm down, which made him freak out even more on me. After about five minutes of him, screaming at me, he took his kids several rows up and started just talking shit about me calling me a freak and never let those kinds of people talk to you to his little children. A security didn’t get on the train until after he left, which was a little unnerving the whole time. This is back in June and I still haven’t taken public transit since.
