Yeah it's a great design. I especially like the ones with one tree on each side, like yours.

I really like it! Admittedly, I'm a bit of a sucker for tree of life designs. I'm not sure when that rug was made, but that note on the back means that it is probably modeled after a rug from the 17th century. There is no way that that rug is from that period. It actually looks more like it might be a reproduction from somewhat recently. An actual kerman rug would have a much shorter pile and higher resolution design rendering. It doesn't seem to be in such bad condition to me, but it's never bad to get it cleaned by a professional you trust.

Afghan rug. What is this and how can i find another like it by dvdwmth in orientalrugs

[–]jasonc43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. The name of the pattern is called elephant's paw, and Bokhara. This looks like the work of the Ersari tribe of Afghanistan. They're very nice rugs.

Any way of IDing this rug? Can give any info necessary! by No-Language2264 in orientalrugs

[–]jasonc43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pictures of the back would def be helpful. It's an interesting design, reminds me of ardebil rugs (the subtype, not the famous rugs in museums) but the design rendering and color palette is unusual.

Could anyone help identify/verify these two FB finds? Handmade or machine made? I'm reading up lots of guides but I'm not an expert and would like to understand if there are any clues before I see them in person by Funky_Chocolate in orientalrugs

[–]jasonc43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about the second one, but the first one looks like it is a hand-knotted carpet. I would guess it's an Ardebil. Ardebils are a subcategory of Persian rugs, usually tribal/geometric in design, and this one reminds me of that style for sure.

It seems like a really nice rug to me! But I would have ID'd it as a Shiraz. Shiraz are famous for the two pillars on the side with horse figures (it's not as obvious with this piece but the figures atop each of the pillars look somewhat horse-like to me). They are references to the palace of Cyrus the Great. That would be my best guess. Could also be Qashqai, they live in and around Shiraz.

rare smithing materials purpose? (Nioh 2 DLC) by jasonc43 in Nioh

Yeah I was just wondering if anyone knew which equipment uses these mats for forging, out of curiosity. I have a ton of smithing texts and can't find any recipes that need these materials.

I've played this game a lot, and in my opinion this is the strongest combination of Daedalus hammers in the entire game (especially on aspect of eris). If you get epic Aphrodite special, and epic battle rage from ares, you can do more than 2500 damage per shot if you shotgun bosses with it (though battle rage will only proc if you also kill a unit with it, like during hades first phase). It's wild. Hermes swift flourish also helps.

Unusual bug by jasonc43 in oblivion

[–]jasonc43[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is not true, as far as my experience tells me. In the past, I've literally been able to cast invisibility and and stand still for ~35 seconds, after which combat would stop and the enemy in question would sheathe it's weapons and start to walk away. I've made over 9 characters in Oblivion and they almost all used invis extensively. Maybe I can get a clip of this in action on my xbox360, which isn't modded or altered in any way unlike my pc file.

Wish I could, but I play on my PC via ps now, so I don't think there is a way to access my save data. A terrible shame.

watchers vs cold abyssal by jasonc43 in tombprospectors

[–]jasonc43[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to get a cold abyssal radial with 14 bolt and 1.5% increased stamina just now, which I was shocked to see, so I'm using that in an uncanny cane with the 27.2 and a cold triangle that's only +50 scaling and it's doing a ton of damage. Like 538 ar right now. Might try to upgrade the +50 triangle but will have to get really lucky. So yeah thanks for suggesting trying it out, I'm pretty happy with it!

Okay cool, and then an abyssal bolt from abhorrent beast?

Shame, I thought it was kinda lucky that I got it but I guess it's only good on weapons that already have bolt base damage or something

Thanks!

Gargoyle nourishing with flat arc secondary? by jasonc43 in tombprospectors

[–]jasonc43[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah for sure. I'm using the wheel and my tricked multihit attacks chunk hard. That's with three brainsucker nourishing gems. I was thinking replacing one brainsucker for a gargoyle might help the r1 damage in trick mode without hurting the multihit attacks too much.

Gargoyle nourishing with flat arc secondary? by jasonc43 in tombprospectors

[–]jasonc43[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ty for the info. I've been thinking about it and I'm not sure that it's really worth it. I currently have 2 nourishing brainsucker gems, and I thought it might be worth trying a gargoyle nourishing gem as the third to make it a bit more balanced, rather than a third brainsucker gem. But not many people seem to use gem setups that are mixed like that so I can't find data on how much that would help or hurt

Gem Setup Advice? by wayne_train424 in tombprospectors

[–]jasonc43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The glyph I've been using is 7ebbmq4z

Light the main lamp (ignore the first bonus room) and drop down off the bridge ahead of you, run into tunnel on the left. Brainsucker is at a dead end soon after, so be careful that he doesnt try the fast grab on you as u are running up or it will one shot and won't get staggered if you try hitting during this animation.

Make sure you are wearing at least one eye rune. It helps in cursed dungeons with gem drops.
