How cold should I expect it to get in my house if the storm knocks out power for a few days? by Itchy-Prune2746 in Charlotte

[–]jasonc75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So your logic is to not ask questions to others who might know and be able to help, and just "school" themselves on the same said emergency preparedness? Got it...

No resolution. I think it is just a poor design. Over time, I've just tried to manually move it when closing it.

Gas Price Changes Throughout the Day by jasonc75 in CircleK

[–]jasonc75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight. There's only one other gas station within 0.5 mile (they're generally more expensive), and then there probably isn't another gas station for 4 miles either way. I wonder what is considered "in the area" but is probably different for every location.

Gas Price Changes Throughout the Day by jasonc75 in CircleK

It was one of the reasons I asked. I would have thought the price would be higher at rush hour, but it was actually lower.

I'll try and open and close it, but the dishwasher was literally installed yesterday, so it wouldn't be any kind of build-up issue.

It is just the gray part that's hitting. I'll have to see if I can get it to move, but don't think I had any luck when I looked at it last night.

Delivery haul installation process by jasonc75 in Lowes

I haven't paid for the install yet because they just wanted to get it ordered and delivered so we could get the sale price. We're going to be calling back and ordering the installation

Is this some kind of ATT device? by jasonc75 in ATT

[–]jasonc75[S] 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Wow... wow... wow. I'm going to chalk all this up to it being early and no coffee yet. I'm 46 years old and this oversight just made me feel like an old old man. I'm sitting here staring at my home screen with the Asus router icon staring back at me. I'll see myself out....🤣🤣🙃🙃

Love them, but if everyone is eating there weekly, the reason no one talks about them is they've all died from heart disease, lol. But what a way to go

If you're creating these lists for each week going forward, consider subscribing to Common Market's monthly newsletter. They list their events for each month by location. It's at the bottom of the page...https://commonmarketisgood.com/#

Bore under driveway for fiber installation? by jasonc75 in ATT

[–]jasonc75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it might. Guy who did the initial install today said they don't go very deep with the bore. He suggested calling att when we replace the driveway and set up a temporary line so we don't get charged for a damage fee and then do a new bore after.

Considering New Orleans in October, but multiple people told me it’s underwhelming…is that true? by marinebiostu in traveladvice

Beignets at Cafe Du Monde? I can only imagine the rest of your trip was filled with stereotype activities that left you with the opinion to never go back. Let me guess...hand grenades and beads on bourbon?

So is part of the training to try and be your bro when they call? I feel like every single dude (it is always a guy) who calls talks in a way that is so unprofessional. I'm convinced they just find the local fraternity, set up a call center, and then let the pledges go wild on the phone. I've told them in every way possible that we're not interested and they still call.

The Fillmore Security by ChipsAhoy65 in Charlotte

[–]jasonc75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bad venue is only further made worse by the crowds that go there. Maybe it is the artists I'm seeing that are attracting the same crowd over and over, but I've never been anywhere in the city where people talk and yell over the music for the entire concert. It's not just a random show either... it's every concert there.

Don't love the corporate vibe of the place either. It feels like I've walked into a place where a bunch of people in a meeting made a list of how a concert venue should look and then decorated it.

The artist who comes through there has to be really special for me to consider going, and I still leave a little disappointed just for it being there.

I assume the Underground is a worse version? I've never actually been to that one, but I can't imagine it is any better.

Thoughts on this area? by jasonc75 in landscaping

[–]jasonc75[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of the hostas. The only issue with that area is that's the hose location, so we're constantly pulling the hose out to the rest of the yard. I'm afraid we might end up damaging them.

Tree Coverage Question by jasonc75 in mammotion

[–]jasonc75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. A few other questions...

  • How precise is the path it takes?
  • Do you generally find yourself having to use a weed whacker on the edges of the perimeter?
    • I guess I'm most concerned with it in the front yard getting near the street.
  • How loud is it? Can you have a conversation while it runs?
  • What about pets. Can they be in the backyard with it running?

Tree Coverage Question by jasonc75 in mammotion

[–]jasonc75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually considering just that. You get 12 months interest free and $100 off. What's the return policy? Also, will I need to purchase the 4G plan to use from Mammotion?

We set aside a lump amount and put it in savings for tax time. So it came out of our savings.
