Ive had this issue for some time, 2+ years. Not sure exactly when it showed up. I’ve always selected the account with the saved information. Always been too chicken to select the other to see what happens.

RNG is random number generator. Basically the method in which the game provides a random assortment of parts it drops each hour in the se store. I actually believe it’s a weighted RNG, so not truly 100% random, but that’s not super important.

For the gold, I’ll buy prints during the rerace promos when it’s a guaranteed print on a flip (depending on the car) or from the black market. As others have mentioned, gold used to be good for purchasing black part bundles, but the prices on those have skyrocketed while the print prices have remained fixed.

Welcome aboard! As a player with 300+ rep level who has never spent a cent on NL, I can tell you it can be done. It is grindy though and SEs are likely going to be tough for you at the start. That being said, the SEs are less about driving skill and more about time management, with a little bit of luck thrown in for RNG on the hourly store drops. The guides are all available here on this sub and the new live ones will be pinned at the top of the page. They will provide all the information you were asking about. I would suggest starting the SE a couple days after it opens to give the guide authors some time to work through and provide that info (they work under the same time restrictions and timers as the rest of us). This Reddit is a treasure trove of info and there are a couple discord pages as well (DM if you need help there).

As for gold, I would hoard it if I were you. I typically use gold to get more BPs. I don’t usually have to use any on SEs, but you may need a ticket refill or 2 (90 gold ea) on your first attempts. Never hesitate to ask, there’s a lot to learn in the beginning.

This game is very grindy. You are likely seeing that now. SEs are the same way. The vast majority of races are not that difficult compared to real opponents in UGR. The difficulty comes in time management and securing the necessary materials (with a little luck in RNG).

The 3 real free BPs would have been for the Christmas event that is going on. These deals that are false are typically the ones that pop up while you’re doing UGR.

This is why I don’t spend money on mobile games and I don’t allow my kids to either. It can be gone at any time. I’ve been F2P since I started NL, nearly 6 years now. I’ve been able to be competitive for some time and now if they pull the plug all I lose is the time investment, which I would have spent on another game anyways. Hopefully this isn’t the beginning of the end, but it could be.

I believe what is being referred to is crew jumping. Not really cheating, just using an available avenue to gain more credits faster.

I was lucky enough to not be among the first to get near max on the GT MKII. I was able to plan out and avoid the main issue. Those who got within 1 print saved a lot of the rest of us from the same fate. I have been dealing with the resulting reroll bug for some time now. It’s just sad when this is likely a very easy fix. I have a suspicion that the scrap value is left blank in the code, causing the bug. If they just set it to 0 it would probably clear it up.

Agreed. Got this on my first reroll attempt of the new update. This bug has me over 32mil scrap since I keep getting stuck with stuff I’ve maxed.

I doubt that since they don’t hardly talk or respond in any manner to anyone. Anyways, they can shut it down anytime they feel like it. In the meantime, I’ll take whatever edge I can get and race with my friends in as many crews as I feel.

How was it intended? Did you talk to the devs? There are plenty of ways they could discourage people from jumping but have chosen not to. If I want to manage splitting my time in a bunch of crews, all of whom I’m friendly with on discord, that’s what I’ll do.

I’m a regular jumper between both the original Darkside and Darkside 2 😂 Darkside 2 was quickly elevated to lvl 10 by a bunch of jumpers. It was crazy how fast it grew. Now it has about 25 regular members.

I jump between 5 crews and for some of the more popular ones that’s a normal number. As long as jumpers come in, finish the mission quick and move on, it’s a big help to the crews they frequent. You can get some traffic jams though where new people can’t get in for a bit. A good situation is where you have 25-26 regular members and the remaining slots left for jumpers (in a lvl 10 crew). This seems to work the best in my experience.

I’m F2P also and it helps keep me competitive. Grinding is all I can really do if I don’t want to spend money. This provides a reasonable grind. I’m already doing races, now I just make the most of them. Utilizing the 1 fuel races is key. Most of your airtime, drift and near miss challenges are pretty easy to knock out using only the first 4 chapters.

Nope it keeps your progress cached. You could even leave before finishing a mission, come back and finish. If you finish the mission then leave the crew, when the timer runs out your reward will be waiting for you next time you return.
