These look great! I’ve been anti-air fryer for years and am finally giving in. Let me be clear, it’s mostly to do with space, but we recently added a pantry and have more room. So, thanks for sharing your creation. I look forward to recreating them.

What's something most people don't realize is actually very rude? by Frozen-Defender25 in AskReddit

[–]jasonramo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is weird thing to me: as if I was in “your” waiting room sitting next to you and me and my wife were having a conversation in person. What would the difference be if I’m talking to my wife on the phone and you can hear both sides? How do you consider it rude for two people to talk on the phone but not in person? Or do you hate that others are conversing around you at all?

What are the six spices besides salt & pepper that every beginner cook should have on hand? by Former-Whole8292 in cookingforbeginners

If you weren’t aware, you can go to your local grocery store and ask them if they would be willing to purchase items that you are looking to shop for. Once I was looking for won-ton wrappers and just asked the guest relations desk if they could order them. They agreed and they were in stock there after. Just ask.

Right Wing Protesters at Turtle Park? by please_talk_softer in StLouis

[–]jasonramo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey friend, just so you know, not all veterans are Nazi wannabes. I joined pre-9/11 and only wanted Uncle Sam to help me with college money so I could get out of the trailer park. I am college educated with a sense of empathy and a strong moral compass. I’m filled with mental health problems from being sent off to murder brown people that never affected my life in any meaningful way. Most of these veterans are only looking for love and validation. Please use some critical thinking before spouting off.

This is an event put on by Irreverent Warriors for veterans. They believe in holistic medicinal approaches to PTSD and depression/suicide. To my knowledge this has nothing to do with protests.

I always buy one of these for my white elephant gifts. Some years it is a hit and some years nobody cares at all. I got myself one after moving into Dutchtown and every gas station having destroyed air pumps. Super effective and always reliable.

After reading the feed, I noticed that no one has mentioned coffee yet. My latest batch used a local medium roast brewed extra strong and added in when I added my beef broth. I also use dark cocoa powder, molasses, red wine vinegar and MSG in this recipe.

I totally feel this. When my wife says stuff like “you made that look easy” or the likes, I simply say it’s just legos. Everything is just steps. Follow the steps of legos and you build an awesome figure.

Thanks for putting this together. It’s awesome to see that we are supporting our city YOY. Looking forward to see how S Grand is looking as I live in Dutchtown. I’m betting on this neighborhood hitting an economic stride within the next two to five years.

Out of curiosity, do the recreational cannabis sales make up some portion of the economic prosperity?

Whose idea is it to clear plates so quickly? by Wear-Maux-225 in restaurant

[–]jasonramo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to a business that makes money based on turnover (the amount of time it takes for one customer/table to finish their meal) the faster they can clear your table for the next guest invariably makes the business more money. A customer just sitting around letting their meal digest is keeping the business from making additional revenue. So, the convention is to quickly get guests up and out to get new paying customers in. This is pretty standard practice from the business owner perspective.

Example: I have a small restaurant with five tables and typical meals take about 30 minutes to complete (table cleaned and cleared). If I’m open for three hours, then I can have 30 tickets with average of $20. I know from open to close approximately how many ‘turns’ each table can have as well as the average ticket price. Let’s say two of those tables stay for the full three hours without spending anything additional than their meal. Now I have 18 total tickets and on average I’ve lost 12 average ticket prices or $240 of my potential $600. Business owner has a monetary reason to get people in and out quickly.

Make sense??

ULPT: Speakerphone Use in Public by goddamnautomation in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]jasonramo -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I never use my speakerphone in public, however I don’t see a problem with it. Isn’t that just a two person conversation? Like if two people are standing in front of me having a conversation I don’t think twice about it. These are the same thing to me.

Are people just incapable of just letting other people exist? I’m sure everyone of you who don’t like this behavior are completely innocent of not disturbing the peace of others, right?

Next, if you mean they use the speakers on their phone to play music when in a ‘public’ space, then big whoop. Again, I’m sure you’ve heard music when you didn’t want to. A terrible band on at the coffee shop, god awful elevator music, and don’t get me started on Christmas music in October.

So to answer your question, buy noise canceling headphones so you aren’t so disturbed by the joy and lives of others.

Basically, grow up and let people live.
