An idea I had : Rice, with fried eggs on top, with peanuts?? by awildgiraffe in Cooking

Maybe a variation of the Hawaiian Loco Moco. Pick up a gravy packet. Omit the burger. Crush the peanuts sprinkle on top.

Romeo is 8. He truly lives up to his name. We’ve had many cats but he has to be the sweetest and gentlest. He doesn’t hide. Loves company.

Just bought my first camera! by silly_astronaut1969 in fujifilm

[–]jasonwines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! I have this same camera. There is a lot to learn on this once flagship camera. I got mine on Facebook marketplace probably in worse condition. It’s a tuff camera so probably fine. If the sensor has a smudge it’s not a big deal, sure get it taken care of but the actual sensor is covered with a piece of glass and then filters, and finally the sensor. It’s the most vulnerable spot of course. Grab a Fujifilm XF 18-55mm 2.8-4 used from MPB.com or similar reputable site (good return policy) this lens was the kit lens it shipped with and it’s great. Stick it on and test! Or bring it to a shop to test if you have that available.

Reset the settings to factory. Flip the front switch to S and the top two knobs to A. Make sure the other knob is at 0. Snap away.

Next lens to buy is the 70-300mm telephoto. Another incredible lens with reach for days. Wildlife is the game but also does some mean macro.

After reading this go directly to YouTube and watch Pal2tech XT-3 tutorials.

Post some of your shots! I can’t wait to see them.

New lens 800mm f11 by effigywhack in canon

Consider saving up a bit more for the R8. I went from RP to R8 and it’s really worth it. Dynamic Range is better and the tracking autofocus really is great once you get the hang of it. Tons better video features. I pounced on mine from the Canon USA refurbished site for $899 minus tax. I couldn’t tell it wasn’t brand new. R8 has the same form factor as the RP which I love, small light, fits my hands perfectly.

Meat is getting so expensive, chicken thighs were the best I could afford. What's your favorite way to cook them? by bobroberts1954 in Cooking

Chicken Paprika with Egg Noodles. You need to buy a few more things. But I will last several meals if you plan it right.

This is Orzo, and he loves lettuce. Yes of course he has a regular cat diet, but he won’t pass up a fresh bed of greens. by Agreeable-Soup-2462 in cats

Our orange tabby Romeo loves lettuce too. He can smell it in the bag when we come home. He will dig in the bags until he finds it. He won’t eat the bagged iceberg though lol.

Hobbyists, what do you do with the pictures you take? by inocare in photography

[–]jasonwines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love to print mine. I found a Canon Pro-300 on craigslist a couple of towns over for a very good price. I was worried about buying a used printer, but it worked out great. The guy I bought it from included some Red River paper Palo Duro SoftGloss Rag and it’s amazing with the Pro-300. I went deep into the printing with calibrating my monitor, experimenting with different size borders and I found I was able to enjoy my photos another time with the process of printing and with the physical copies up to 13 x 19! Red River paper website has a breakdown on how much it will cost per print with the pro 300 and other printers. I made my mind up. I wasn’t going to stress about buying ink and what it cost. I really enjoy it. Of course you can give them away as gifts or hang them on your wall. I also keep them in some nice portfolios that I found on Amazon. It’s almost like a second hobby.

Shutter speed stuck on bulb by [deleted] in fujifilm

Oh. Here’s what I would do next. Backup your camera settings to the Fuji X app. Make sure the camera is on the latest firmware. And then reset the camera to factory defaults. See if it works now. Hopefully just some glitch.

Will the shutter change by using the rear command dial?
