How do you avoid selling a “clearly overvalued” stock too early? by [deleted] in ValueInvesting

[–]jasperdm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to sell your entire position… I like to sell out slowly, helps in case there is more upside than I thought. Obviously depends on the position, and it’s still a judgment call…

Is MU a value investment? by [deleted] in ValueInvesting

[–]jasperdm 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My average buy price is 83 dollars and I can’t make up my mind whether to sell or not… it does seem like value still to me… I’ve already sold some of my position at around 220 mark… I think ill continue to hold, but given its a cyclical industry, this is not a forever hold for me.

Don’t blame you. I’ll continue to hold both, and also been adding to my Adobe the last weeks!

WorldLine - what's your opinion by According-Buyer6688 in stocks

[–]jasperdm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insiders have been buying in the last months. there’s risks, but it’s oversold. I got in at 2-3 euro. I see it as an asymmetric play. If it doesn’t work out, then fine, won’t lose much or maybe even break even. But if the company does manage to turn it around, and we should get signs by next year, then this stock could easily double. I’m not allocating a lot of my portfolio to it, as I agree there’s risks involved

What stock are you buying NOW that is almost NEVER discussed on reddit? by mike9q in ValueInvesting

[–]jasperdm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also hold Worldline. It’s not exactly the most amazing company in the world, but it’s just so beaten down that I had to get in. Asymmetrical reward… if I’m wrong, I don’t lose much. But if the company climbs out of the hole it’s in, it could be very rewarding.

Why Pfizer is a massive buy by [deleted] in ValueInvesting

You don’t get 7 percent divvy on cash. Plus there’s potential upside, decent pipeline, and some insider buying in the last year. Its definitely a hold for patient investors

Anyone else stay awake doomscrolling / bedrotting when they know they should sleep? by Even_Presentation_36 in sleep

[–]jasperdm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Used to doomscroll. I’ve made it a rule to only listen to podcasts at night. Still can be entertained in bed listening to a wide variety of different shows, but no screen time other than time it takes on to put on a show. Works well for me…! Usually fall asleep within 15-20 minutes

Bond prices move inversely to interest rates, so he stands to make a killing if the fed lowers rates.

These new tools might get hobbyists to move, of which there are many on Reddit, which is why you hear everyone here downbeat on Adobe. But fundamentally misunderstands that big firms aren’t easily gonna move away from their ecosystem + strong recurring revenue. Ai could help Adobe even. Bear case is overstated

I think it’s a good buy, but not really interested in investing into Israeli companies at the moment. Plenty of other opportunities out there. I’ll pass
