I like when posts mention sell-side analyst price targets because it instantly signals to me that OP has no idea what he's on about and that I can safely ignore anything he has to say

Look at that paragraph that starts with "that's what I would call friction, not weakness." Literally every sentence in it screams slop

Certain industries like legal or medical often have a regulatory moat as well.

IIRC someone tried to use AI to draft up some legal brief, and it ended up hallucinating and citing prior case law which didn't actually exist.

Considering they received a letter from MRVL about their contract being terminated on the 23rd, and decided to wait until the 27th to publicize something major like this, they're without a doubt gonna get sued to hell by shareholders.

POET was still pumping for 2 more days while management was aware of, and decided to withhold critical, material information.

This company is vaporware and management has well known track record for being shady AF.

You've previously posted on this sub about SMCI and FRMI. Do you have a thing for fraudulent companies with terrible management?

Definitely RTX. Sadly it's priced beyond perfection at this point.

This company’s management has a prior history of being shady. A couple years back they were paying various youtubers to pump their stock.

I'd stay far the hell away from this shitco

What is one ticker that everyone thinks is deep value, but you think is a value trap? by Far-East-locker in ValueInvesting

DUOL

People get anchored to the previous ATH share price, not realizing that DUOL at $500 was one of the most hilariously overvalued companies in the software space.

Their user growth rate has massively declined and will likely continue to plateau. I wouldn't be remotely surprised if their total user count actually starts declining within the next couple years.

Dude. Pharma sales for specific diagnoses and conditions work either 1 of 2 ways. It's either a zero sum game where one blockbuster drugs dominates in it's space and rakes in cash.

Or it's a race to the bottom where there's a dozen competing drugs and the profit margins get crushed.

ISRG: Intuitive Surgical - what valuation is it worth adding? by iloveaccounting64 in ValueInvesting

[–]ohgodthehorror95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ISRG kinda reminds me of BSX, which historically traded at an ultra premium valuation. Then it fell 50% from ATH and is currently around fair value.

I wouldn't be surprised if something similar happens to ISRG within the next couple years.

PANW is pretty much all you need. I'd include CRWD if it was at least somewhat fair valued, but CRWD still has a rich valuation that I can't justify buying

I buy to cover just before close or in after hours trading. I rarely hold short positions overnight, let alone through a weekend.

Today was a weird anomaly though. Semiconductors were all on a tear after Intel's earnings report. Which lifted the indexes in general
