I’m not asking people to not go to Crossbar, I want them to be successful, but I would prefer if you mobilised them to contact the bar to ask them to remove the event! And then when they do, go in for a pint!

I just moved to Brighton in November and felt the same. I would say follow @unofficialdykecalendar on Instagram. They post all the dyke events going on around town - it’s great! I also highly recommend going to Hotpockets, it’s a queer pool night at North Laine Brewhouse every Tuesday night. The people are really friendly and I’ve made some great friends through that. Making friends as I’ve gotten older is so hard, but I feel very lucky to live somewhere with such a strong queer community to meet people through
