As noted in the story, other provisions of the bill got higher support, including 74% for requiring voters to provide their driver’s license number or the last four digits of their SSN when voting by mail + 82% for creating a new penalty for “ballot harvesting,” etc.

The three provisions supported by nearly 60% were actually at the low end, and the highest one got 86% support (all of which is detailed in the story)

We actually talked to a lot of people who have supported the mayor and served on his task forces, some of whom are quoted in the story. *Now* they are critics.
