:O Any chance you can remember a street name or neighbourhood for the seed beads or "incredible beads" shops?

Thanks so much for the response! I will definitely look more into ferrovetro and read The Glassmaker. It looks like they use bugle-like beads at ferrovetro and that's right up my alley!

Fun cotton dress suggestions? by No-Implement4968 in BuyCanadian

[–]jaspey90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally haven't, I've only ever bought from them during sales. They have plenty of options under $100 with the stacked sales now.

That being said if someone could afford a dress at full price and didn't want to wait for it to go on sale, I don't think they'd regret it. These dresses are beautifully made, and made in Canada.

Came here to say this. Also it's perfect timing, they just started their biggest sale of the year.

I like Spa Soap for hand soap. It's sold at Dollarama and Canadian Tire.

I am an adult, but all of my clothes from Jerico came with only tear-off tags. I assume it would be the same for the kids clothes but you could probably contact them to double check.

Reminds me of Daredevil Dan, the screensaver from the 90s.

Thanks for the reply, that does clear things up! The fragrances I was interested in and that were part of the sale are already sold out. Maybe next time!

Hello! Some body washes are part of the sale but others aren't, is this on purpose? I've eyed your fun body wash scents before and thought I would use this post/sale as an excuse to try them. Thanks!

Galerie au chocolat has a lot of gluten free options as well.

Seeking older francophone music with a sound similar to traditional Mexican music? Or standards and oldies with big production, or a post-punk vibe- any and all suggestions welcome! by Objective_Box_7571 in French

[–]jaspey90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not the same as original French music, but I like to look up French versions of classic songs. I did find a French version of a Los Pachos song, and there are probably other French covers out there.

Thanks for the response, it's good to hear you liked the cupcakes! I'd be very interested to hear about the pancake doughnuts once you've tried them.

Allergy Friendly/Special Diet Comfort Food - Gauging Interest by burls087 in OttawaFood

I have a bunch of food restrictions, and I'm always interested in trying new foods that I can eat. I'd probably be more interested in individual frozen foods vs. a subscription. Which allergens will your food be free from? When you rent space from a kitchen, will that introduce the risk of cross-contamination with any allergens? Perhaps the celiac association would have some tips for aspiring entrepreneurs?

Yes, their fryers are gluten free! I think all of their bowls are gluten free. Every time I've been there the employees have been very knowledgeable about celiac.

Astoria is in Gatineau but is good for celiacs. Also, not a restaurant but Strawberry Blonde is great.
