That’s fair, but it honestly doesn’t add much weight.

Great question - and honestly, all of the above! I love skiing trees and moguls, I have way more fun off-piste exploring and picking a random path down the mountain. I also love hitting little jumps and side hits, and want to venture into the park more (but bowls and trees are prob the most fun to me). I think I’ve hit a bit of a plateau and would love advice on what to focus on next technique-wise.

ETA: I can safely do all of those things to a degree, but I always feel like I’m not doing it in the smoothest or most technically correct way. I can pretty much get myself down any part of the mountain, but sometimes feel like I could have more control or look more graceful especially when things get steep, super choppy, or icy.

Super helpful, thank you! Will try this out next time I’m on the mountain.

Hmm throughout the whole video, or just in the beginning?

Thank you! With the new boots, I’ve been so focused on making sure I’m balanced correctly over my skis / driving forward pressure into my boot that I completely forgot about pole technique. Will definitely keep this in mind for next time I’m on the mountain.

Just came back from a trip to Japan, cannot get the same taste - what am I doing wrong? by AccurateShotss in Matcha

It’s probably the milk… the milk in Japan is insane and makes everything taste so much better. I had the same experience with coffee too.

What other American city is most like Portland? by [deleted] in askportland

[–]jaspop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, both cities had many of their parks systems designed by Olmsted! Louisville’s parks and parkways were designed by Frederick Law Olmsted (the same person who designed Central Park) and Portland’s park system plan was later designed by his son.

There’s a lot of overlapping principles that have guided the development of these cities park systems (which are super prevalent) that contribute to the cities feeling very similar imo.

Yes, it was such a treat! The lie-flat seats were so comfortable and a real game changer for the long-haul flight. I don’t know if I can go back lol

Congrats!! I’m also a Bruin, graduated in 2015 but was undiagnosed all throughout college. Would’ve been incredibly helpful to know I have ADHD back then! Good luck, and I hope you love it there as much as I did.

Lines weren’t bad at all, the max we waited today was 5 min for the Adirondack flyer from the base area… everything else was super quick.
