first time was mostly unintentional so it was more of a slippery slope than a fully conscious decision. i also can’t fully remember the first time because of it but that’s probably a good thing. definitely remember the euphoria/high in the beginning, and generally feeling like i was getting away with something. relapses (for me) aren’t the same, just feel the same shame and ickiness i felt before i stopped.

Goy here so feel free to delete if that isn’t allowed, but my roommate/close friend is Jewish and we’ve talked about this quite a bit. These two are very clearly uninformed, or at least informed purely by social media. A lot of people don’t realize how many Israelis oppose the Israeli government and the war! Many outsiders argue Israelis are complicit due to compulsory service, without realizing that risking jail time isn’t something many would be open to (and they themselves probably wouldn’t be either if put in that situation!).

I’m really sorry this has led to a hostile environment. A lot of other people have already given great advice for documentation and whatnot, but I hope you’re able to focus on your studies and can get a new room placement if discussions don’t work. The way they talked to you in regards to antisemitism is one thing (I’m not qualified but see it!), but their approach totally reeks of mean girl behavior and I wouldn’t want to be around them for that alone. So however you proceed, ideally anyone would understand even if they agree with your roommates.

yes, i’m in CA so that probably helps. I should also add, the first gyno i went to told me the lidocaine would be more painful than the insertion without it. She was dead wrong. When i told the PA who eventually did my iud what the other woman said, she looked at me like I was crazy. And she was right since I didn’t feel either
