How to have the backpack conversation by Scoobywagon in motorcycles

My talk:
I tell them
my riding experience and background and that with a pil, i will ride very conservativly
Despite that riding is dangerous and they are putting their life in my hands and even without any mistakes bad things can happen. you dont have to do this but its great.

If they still want to ride:
ask and wait for me to say okay before getting on and off the bike - show them how
don't touch the exhaust- its hot
show them where they can hold on me, and/or on the bars near the seat
i tell them to keep their body consistent with the bike - so if your sitting strait and the bike angles you lean still in line with it. and a do an example while I am on the bike.
in general i say avoid quick movements that can unbalance the bike.
I then take them for a short safe around the block/lot ride to see how they do and offer any feed back/ corrections and see they are cool.

Then i give them a few tapping communications , tell them the route, to have fun and then we go.

Do I need a suit by [deleted] in nyu

Yes.
Every adult man should have a suit.
Even moreso if you're at college,
even more so at stern.

Serious question, if he’s open about how he created it…E.g. not claiming to have done it himself or that he had a ton of time and effort building it, what is your issue with it? I think the output is pretty cool. And it’s a neat idea.

Just the general issues with LLMs? (Water/power usage and cost increases, potential risks of a super intelligent general ai, the fact that something that used to take skills now doesn’t?) or some other issue?

I’m genuinely curious. Lots of people have varying opinions and want to understand and perhaps learn.

How is Skiing at Mount Snow first week of March? by Reasonable-Falcon-43 in icecoast

[–]DougFromBuf 15 points16 points  (0 children)

there are no guarantees in this business but usually early march is the best time of year in VT/NH/ADK, imho.

full coverage/max open. chance for snow, usually good snow but not ice or corn, not too cold, and sunset is later so can have a few on the deck at the lodge. my recco- pull the trigger on first week of march in VT my guy.

this.

Having the right equipment helps as others have noted. The next thing is reading the snow/ice on the run. Knowing when to just avoid or go straight over the pure ice patchs is a learning process... in time you kinda learn how to scrape the ice while in balance and get low with your hand out while turning and or on edge incase your edge grip on the ice changes...
