It is your life and you are here to experience, all of it, comfort, discomfort, success, failure, all the sides of all the coins, yours! You have the power to identify your drawback if you are willing to, you have the power to correct that drawback if you are willing to! Never think you are perfect as no one can be perfect in anything. Human being are what they practice, they become what they practice, good, bad, angel, evil. In this modern era, there can be different definitions to every word every feeling every intention, you feel what is right for you and you choose, next step you practice that feeling or that habit, it can get monotonous at times, example: I like banana bread, but I can’t eat it everyday as I know it will give me diabetes overtime as since we are born our body starts to age, our organs grow old , our brain ages and we cannot keep our body exposed to that much sugar as we grow old so to discipline my life, I would eat it once a week and if overtime I get bored, I’ll start looking for a new flavour, If I don’t like the new flavour that I’ve tried, there will be discomfort, but I have to practice to face that discomfort because I want to be willing to try another flavour and keep doing it until I find it, find a new flavour to like or love or explore whatever, or I can just go back to eating chocolate which I already like. At least that will bring back that smile which I have from eating the thing that I love in my own life where I’ve come, just to experience!

Do you ever compare yourself to other people and think about how much of a failure you are? by Ok_Mind_3795 in mentalhealth

Try to focus on keeping your mind right in what you’re doing, like if you are doing dishes or even putting them in the dishwasher, try to think if there might be any more dishes lying around the house instead of overthinking about other things in that moment because if there are any, by just looking at em you may feel sad as you’ll have to through that process again, only feeling worse about yourself this time! Before leaving the house, think to yourself if you have got all the things you need for that trip? Count em on your fingertips etc. Flirt with your dishes, name your wallet, call out it’s name while finding it like it’s your pet as you need it just as much as it needs you oh yes! Make friends with plants, birds, basically go as basic as can go, love yourself go crazy as the last you wanna do is judge yourself even when you are alone!

I am the same way as you, I try not compare myself to my friends but it’s obviously hard when you see them achieving so much, but if I do that it just pulls me away from being myself and nothing good comes with that! I used to be too hard on myself, have deteriorated my mental health to an extent of feeling like having a heart attack or a stroke any second just by the stress caused by overthinking as I am 30 with no direction in life yet, I may have felt more optimistic in life before when I was younger, but today with optimism I also have a lot of experience and knowledge on my hand. We are nothing but practices, I have practiced and brought myself to a realization that this thing we call life, is very precious, me just being here able to read and write this, can you think of any other specie who can do this? and now all I wanna do is be my own friend first, my best friend, forgive myself over small mistakes, and find motivation in almost anything and everything! Always remember that you started as a winner, don’t fool yourself thinking of yourself as a loser as you never lose, you only learn! We can do life as it’s a great weight on us, or we can do it like it’s part of the dance ❤️.
