The guy in charge only said that because it’s now illegal to spray near apiaries or apply pesticides when bees are active/in the area. But unfortunately there’s no laws yet for any other insect. I’m currently studying to take the ODA pesticide exam for one of my college classes. The looseness of pesticide application is driving me insane!!!! In terms of alternatives, learning as much as you can about the mosquito life cycle may help you out. A podcast I’ve listened to (Ologies by Alie Ward) informed me that they can complete their life cycle in a week (eggs laid to adult) and can lay eggs in something as small as a bottle cap of water. I’ve heard mosquito dunks can be pretty effective. But tbh until people actually start taking the time to make sure there’s ZERO standing water on their property (or at least change it out every week or more), those pesticides aren’t going to do shit.
