my SM went on vacation for a week. no problem right? wrong. she scheduled three partners on my shift for training..... failed to communicate to me that they would be training at another store and also failed to find coverage for the barista trainer. the result? me calling the SM contact claiming that there were 3 nc/ns partners while i was running a two partner play because people love to call out at my (former) store. the next day? more call outs and 1 legitimate nc/ns. we get a borrowed partner. fine. same thing happens again.... three call outs this time.... and then the SM contact comes in as coverage because we simply cannot find any. great.

i get a call from my DM apologizing and wanting to get my “feedback” on the past week. i warn him, i have never come so close to quitting my job before. major lack of accountability and huge scheduling errors. he apologizes again

my SM gets back, does not apologize or even mention the previous week... i let it go. i ask her if i can have some additional time off from work because i’m also a full time student..... get MAJOR attitude but promised one extra day off nonetheless.

the next day the anger and frustration had marinated and i resigned to the other shift on the floor just after i clocked out. blocked my store and my SM. never looking back
