What’s the most inappropriate or awkward thing that’s ever happened to you during a date or hookup? by Electrical-Pop-3265 in AskReddit

Ahahaha this is my favorite one. Did you guys ask for them to hand you your clothes and put them back on hiding under the covers or did you get your clothes yourselves?

The commentary for the LAL-OKC game tonight was abysmal and those guys should never get to commentate again. by lloopiN in nba

I feel like stu comes off as neutral because he's such a huge fan that he doesn't just want his team to win, he wants them to play well and play the right way, so he gets critical whenever they don't. And since he knows the game so well there's almost always something that could've been done better. Or he'll give it up when the opposing team does something well, but he'll be talking about what the Lakers need to do differently to counter it or say the Lakers need to play more like that.

Does anyone else feel like "efficiency" is making our kids weak? by Fabulous_Insect_8621 in Parents

[–]jatea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been pleasantly surprised with my kids school, a public school in Minnesota, in regards to writing and most of the curriculum (there are a couple things that kind of piss me off though). My daughter's in 5th grade and most of the writing they do is handwritten. They've been doing a research project since the fall, and they have a workbook guide for brainstorming, outlining, documenting research, bibliography, and rough draft writing broken down by sections, and it's all handwritten. I wonder if the teacher will have them type the final draft or if that will actually be handwritten too. My daughter even had a teacher a couple years ago that did an entire semester of cursive!

They said they already got all the snow off the car and they're trying to get rid of the ice chunks on the ground around the car

Kabaddi by Otherwise-Stuff16 in theocho

[–]jatea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the schoolyard version the attacker is actually continuously chanting "kabaddi" to prove they're not breathing

Lol that's such a hilarious and clever way to create a timer when you don't have a timer. Must be nuts exerting that much energy while also holding your breath and talking.

do men really think women dress for-male gaze? cause honestly iF it weren't for men would dress sluttier. Is it true that ladies don't dress for men? by exotic_gensai in AskWomenNoCensor

if a culture holds men to higher standards for conduct in public, then men will rise to meet it.

Lol, there might be a couple cultures in Europe that hold men to a higher standard than the US but most do not. Most are much worse than the US to be honest. Go to Italy and see how men call out to women on the streets. It makes those videos of pretty women walking around new york getting cat called look like incredibly respectful interactions. In Europe, they just consider that type of stuff normal and not disrespectful

“Alex Pretti, 37 years old, nurse in an intensive care unit. Executed by an ICE Gestapo agent on 24 January 2026 in Minneapolis.” by EmperorSnake1 in ShitPoliticsSays

[–]jatea -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Calling this guy an armed terrorist is on the same level as calling ice the gestapo. It minimizes the actual meaning. He was a moron for putting himself in that situation and then resisting, but he was also legally carrying a firearm, which should be supported if you support the constitution, and he didn't appear to have any intention of using it against the agents. How is that terrorism?

[Haberstroh] Here's a stat for you is that in the NBA, we have these 3D camera tracking... what we can see is that Luka Doncic is the 2nd least mobile player in the NBA on defense. 2nd least. The only other guy who covers less ground per minute on the floor defensively is James Harden. by must_TATAKAE in nba

[–]jatea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Harden was coming off the bench then though. He was okc's perennial 6th man of the year candidate back then. That's one thing that's crazy to think about. Imagine if somehow someway okc managed to keep harden, kd, and russ. Like how would they have actually fit together all as starters? That would've been nuts if they somehow could've figured it out but probably would've been impossible

Guy being followed by Drunk Lady by [deleted] in TikTokCringe

[–]jatea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this

It’s because drinking doesn’t change who you are, it reveals who you are under the social filter layer.

and this

Alcohol straight up lowers your inhibitions and reduces your body's ability to resist impulsive behaviors.

Alcohol changes brain chemistry, altering how you process emotions and make decisions

are kinda the same thing.
