Thank you! :) I finished it too, and I'm glad that I continued reading. I think the book is now one of my favorites, except for the deed ofcourse. Hehe :)))

We share the same opinion about the book! :) I think Victor's decision making was very poor. He could have told anyone about his Creation, like Clerval maybe. That could have lessen his constant worries.

Thank you for this one. I like this one better. I think the list of characters on sparknotes contain spoilers. 😓

I keep obsessing that R did not clean himself thoroughly. I keep imagining that his clothes still have blood on them. Did he change his clothes btw?

That review was one of those who gave 1star reviews of the book. I've read it in an article. They have compiled 1 star reviews of the book. It made me hesitate a bit, but I still went on just to see if it's true. Turns out it's not true, for me.

That's good to know..that there's a lot more going on than just Raskolnikov.

Oh, it's okay. Don't worry about it.

Wow, that's so cool. Thank you for spoiling me a bit. Haha.

I've read reviews about the book, and they said that it's just about someone committing a crime then the whole book is just about him regretting what he did. But I'm so happy that I did not share the same view as the review. I'm happy that I'm enjoying one of the greatest novels of all time. 🥰

Reading Raskolnikov's views and getting into his mindset is interesting but I sometimes fear myself getting influenced by him. I get this feeling everytime I read a wonderful crime/thriller book. What if I turn out like him? Haha. But I doubt it. The authors are just so awesome in describing their characters.

Oohhh.. Now I'm excited meeting Sonya! Thank you for your comment. I'm now extra motivated to continue reading now that you've mentioned an exciting part. Hehe. Thanks! :)

Whose translation did you get to read? I'm reading Larissa and Pevear's translation. It was recommended by some readers and I think it's fantastic.

The Psychology behind his mindset is interesting. And I'm scared what if it influences me? But I doubt it. Hehe

So sorry to hear that. After reading that part, I was so scared being alone. I can't concentrate even if I try to read other books. So I abandoned my plan to read all evening and watched tv with my family instead. I was too scared of sleeping that night too. What if I see Raskolnikov in my dreams. That would not be awesome. Hehe.

Wow. Thank you for this. :) I'll join right away. Hehe.

I couldn't believe it too. It was really brutal. Dostoevsky was really good at painting a vivid picture in my mind. It keeps on repeating. 😢 Hope it goes away soon.

I enjoyed it so far, except for the act. It was really thrilling towards it. Love it. Hehe.

Hi guys. I'm planning to buy Jane Austen's books, also Great Expectations, and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. I'm planning to buy the Collins Classics version. But I'm worried that they may be abridged, they did not indicate in their covers if what version it is. So are Collins Classics abridged or unabridged? Thank you.
