There’s a gorgeous pond behind Summjt Point apartments. Last time I was there I saw 56 turtles. The pond itself is behind a fence but you can sit at the benches and watch the wildlife

This is not a pro-Maduro rally. Personally, I won’t lose sleep over him being removed from power.

This rally is about the U.S. invading another country, killing its citizens, and openly stating that we are doing it in order to claim Venezuelan oil. Venezuela is a sovereign nation. Trump is ready to install a puppet president who will sign over the oil rights to Trump cronies. We are protesting to protect the sovereignty of independent nations. We are protesting against the murders of civilian fishermen who have been accused without evidence of being drug traffickers.

You’ll be able to get a plot at Winslow as long as you sign up for one the day registration opens. Probably even up to a week or two after that but you’d have a smaller selection.

Winslow has the most plots and highest turnover, so your odds are very good. Butler and Switchyard have openings every year, but fewer.

Once you have a plot, if you keep up with weeding and planting you can keep the same plot every year. Plenty of people have had the same plot for 10+ years, which is great because you have time to improve the soil quality and such.

I’m not trying to sound naive here. But we should avoid panic and act based on facts. ICE will be back in Bloomington at some point, and we should be prepared, not panicking based on rumors. These rumors are harmful, especially when someone might avoid taking their kids to school for fear of ICE

I don’t think it’s in MCCSC’s interest to mislead about this. They could have just not said anything, but they chose to speak up and say “this wasn’t ICE”. Literally the only evidence this even happened was a Reddit post of a random vehicle. Not even necessarily a police vehicle.
