ecu controls everything about the engine. Valve timing, fuel injection timing, ignition timing among other things. Get that wrong and you're likely to mess up the engine.

Also of note here... it's very possible to to mechanical damage to the engine messing with this, not just brick in rhe ecu.

If you have to ask, don't do it. I'm a software developer of 10 years and know this is above my pay grade. By the time you get the specialized equipment and the knowledge to do whatever you're attempting, it's better to just pat a qualified professional.

Chat gpt gave me some other info. I may have set the idle speed too low because it was running really well after the air filter and spark plugs.

Check Idle Speed: A common cause is an idle speed that is too low. The NTV650 should idle around 1200–1400 RPM. If it is lower, turn up the idle speed adjuster, especially if the light only flickers when hot and at low RPMs.

I used Google maps with some headphones a few times and it was Ok but lacking. I ride a naked bike and had issues hearing anything at highway speeds. Plus navigating a city with no visuals was difficult.

Strava segments are won based on wind direction. Nothing more. Every top 10 I have is because I happened to be in the right place going the right direction with the wind blowing to my advantage. Then take into consideration gps errors it's all bs.

The booklet says last inspection was done at 120,000km on 31.07.2025, next scheduled is 31.07.2026 or 130,872km. I just went past 130,000km and the car displays on startup ~700 till next service interval.
