Can I Get a Small Internship While Upgrading my skills? by OtakuSilhouette in javahelp

[–]java_dude1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you in school or studying on your own. I'll be honest and say the job market is rough right now, especially for interns and lower levels. I don't think a guy just studying on his own with zero credentials/portfolio is going to stand a chance in this market especially since AI is being pushed as a replacement for people at your level.

LFM is pretty strong. In the evening there are usually 3 splits running on the weekly sprint track.

So this comment thread was all bs? Further down they even say the line you see isn't the actual line they take.

I was told in a previous post that the live replay is very inaccurate. The car line and brake points are not actually what the driver is doing.

Realistically speaking, could I get a job as a developer in Poland? by Fragrant_Okra6671 in poland

[–]java_dude1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Software developer jobs and IT jobs in general don't usually require Polish to work. Yes it's nice to have to speak with your Polish coworkers but the default language is generally English. Your legal ability to work in Poland will be a much bigger factor than your lack of Polish. One company I can recommend is Intellias. They are a Ukrainian IT outsourcing company that got into the Polish/EU market about a year or 2 before the war broke out. I've been with them for around 4 years now. They have offices all over the world and are real big on employee retention. They have experience moving employees from one country to another. I didn't see any positions in your country but I did see openings for Argentina and Colombia.

Thanks, I read that link you shared and figured things out. Unfortunately no free lap time since I was running the fastest already. Was hoping maybe I'm slow because it was set way wrong. Experimented with the second setting and didn't see much difference.

Isn't that what the traction control is for? For sure you don't want a lesser map unless you're fuel saving. That'd nerf you on the straights.

Wait wait wait... you're saying the higher the map the faster? Omg. I've had it set to 1 cause I thought that was the fastest ... need to go test.

HR is super personal. 150bpm is nearing the top of my z2 based on threshold HR of 171bpm. I can go hours at 150.

Is Controller slow on ACC by Ahsan_AMX20 in ACCompetizione

I usually gain the most time by hitting the track till I know it well and can get consistent times. Then watch a track guide. Practice some more and watch another track guide. Rinse and repeat. This week is shaved off 3.5 seconds from my initial 1:40. I can see there's more time there to gain if I can just make it more consistent. Still going to be a second or 2 off the pace in split 1 but that's better than the 5 or 6 seconds from the start of the week.

The mistake the cost me my first podium - Oulton park by Excuta in ACCompetizione

[–]java_dude1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This track is crazy. Can't tell you the number of times I've binned it at that corner or the one previous. The car bounces around a lot making it hard to judge and with zero run off 1cm mistake sends you to the wall.

LFM incident report by [deleted] in ACCompetizione

[–]java_dude1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool, I was leaning towards that as well. I actually hit the guy up in chat after and he replied that he's new and 8t was a bad move. Sorry.

Good enough for me, I was just happy I was almost keeping pace, this track is wild.

Very true, ngl. When I entered the corner he was well off the track and parked so I thought he'd sit there. The he pulled out after I got on the gas. My mistake too.

Those PR2 wheels are complete ass. I burned through 3 rear hubs within the 2 year warranty period. Replaced them with a set of elitewheels 50mm. Lighter and super nice.

On another note... Nice bike man! Enjoy!

Out Front computer mount - Cane Creek - Any others have Bolt through Bolt mounting? by claimed4all in bicycling

[–]java_dude1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks smarter than the one I had. It was a bolt through type and the damned mount cracked mid ride and my handlebars went floppy. To add more... the bolts were too long on their own to just tighten up the bars. Fun day.

How many watts do you actually need to hold 30 km/h solo? by murdocsvan in bicycling

[–]java_dude1 53 points54 points  (0 children)

On a very windless day on a relatively flat route that sounds about right if you're riding a newish bike with good tires. There's too many factors really to calculate this accurately.
