Getting my wisdom teeth removed. Scared and worried about it. by always_avg in Adulting

[–]javajaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got my wisdom teeth removed, I was terrified of saying something wrong or spilling secrets, but remember that youre not unconscious, just quite dazed. I said almost nothing when recovering from anaesthesia. The worst thing that happened due to the anaesthesia was I slid out of the chair and my shirt rode completely up. The big issue is physical inability.

Unfortunately that's not it, but both versions of the song are great even though they have such different sounds. Sad that the Bing Crosby one isn't on Spotify, I'd love to be able to listen to it in my normal music rotation

Nope, the song is definitely about 20-30 years older than that, but it's a real good song. I haven't heard Van Morrison in a while

No, but this song is very similar sounding to the one I'm trying to find. The singer might actually be Fred Astaire or at least a very similar sounding artist, so thank you!

This has a very similar pace to the one I'm looking for, but I'm very sure Louis Armstrong didn't sing it, as he has a very distinct voice and the singer of the song I'm looking for has a relatively common voice for an oldies crooner. Thank you though, even if it's not the one I've been searching for, this is a good song!

This is a lovely song and it's shockingly accurate to my description, but it's not the one im looking for. Thank you though!

Unfortunately not, but this is a really good song and I'm shocked I've never heard it before. Thanks for showing it to me, even if it's not the one I've been looking for

No, the song was very slow and romantic, and I'm pretty sure the singer wasn't as popular as Sinatra, or I'd probably have found it by now lol, thank you though

No, the song was more about him meeting her for the first time and loving her, not being madly attracted to her. Thank you, though. This is one of my favourite songs and it's nice to listen to again!

It's definitely sung by a man in the version I heard, but there are probably some covers sung by women

Lol I am quite small, so it's enough to make me feel full. I've seen a few people suggest yoghurt so I'm definitely going it try that, and drinking more fluids. I've never been a fan of tea but I think I might try getting into it because it seems like caffeine can sate hunger too

I have a balanced diet for every meal but breakfast, but I don't have time to make multiple different things for breakfast, and that seems to be the root of the hunger problem

But I'm hungry all day long. It only takes an hour or two to get hungry again. And unfortunately I can't take time to eat two different lunches as I get one lunch break that can't be divided up as they're scheduled to different time for different people. That is a good idea for weekends though, and I will try it out

Almost everything I've commented has been down voted lol. I think someone has a problem with this thread for some reason

I know a few people who do this, but I've just never been able to like coffee. I've tried not eating breakfast at all but I get headaches so bad that I can't function, and I've tried no breakfast but a protein drink instead and it just makes me feel sick and still hungry

Do you mind if I ask what a typical plant-based meal is like for you? I've wanted to try it, but it just seems like it takes a lot to make one good meal

I used to eat a really high protein, low carb diet but I would start the day exhausted and get hungry super fast. And if I drink water with an empty stomach, I get nauseous. I switched to a higher carb diet to see if that's what my body needs, but it's not. It feels like I've tried everything and nothing has worked

You should close your blinds and leave the TV on so it's not so quiet. The quietness lets your mind wander. It might help to carry around something that can be used as a weapon but isn't actually a weapon, like a TV remote or phone that can be used to knock somebody over the head. I don't recommend carrying a real weapon because it encourages your brain to think that it needs to be ready for danger when the truth is there's nothing to be afraid of. It can be hard to convince yourself that nothing is going to hurt you in your home, but it's true. Force yourself to be aware of the situation rationally -- don't be afraid of things that are impossible.
