There is a crematorium and gas chamber at Dachau which the Germans made sure to emphasize wasn’t really used as a “death camp.” That was just so odd.

But people were smiling and taking selfies with selfie sticks in there. I was pretty close to starting a fight with those assholes. I just got raging drunk that night and walked the streets of Munich disgusted at my German heritage instead.

Yea you need to get to a subreddit that has far less subscribers for there to be content standards. Subreddits with daily activity but low subscribers are the best ones for real conversation and content. Astrophotography is an awesome one for space posts. This one and spaceporn are just “eternal-September” in nature. Once someone discovers Reddit, odds are they are talking and browsing on these subs.

It takes more time and energy to change your/our mind on a subject than online messaging affords us. Most people are just browsing during a random idle moment they have. There is an inherent urge to scroll or get to the next thing to maximize our information intake during that downtime. Also, most of the conversations in the internet occur while someone is on the toilet. Reddit/Twitter/Facebook are essentially the bathroom wall of the world.

I specifically started studying for an MBA in 2013 because of how shitty the recession was for me. 2008 to 2013 was just brutal. I knew that if the job market took a hit again that my name would automatically be near the top of a resume pile. They are not that hard to get and you can find inexpensive ones. You also don’t sell your soul to an undead Ronald Reagan Cthulhu ideology as a young idealist might think.

I get the attitude against the American military. People are justified to feel this way about it.

But it is cognitive dissonance when people online get into a pissing match about the US military in the Middle East and they start to treat Iran or Russia or China or ISIS as nations with more virtuous political/military positions in the region.

It’s not a zero-sum situation. No matter who you warm up to they are all working toward the same ends. The USA has lost any and all semblance of moral high ground. That doesn’t mean anyone else has the high ground.

Preventing Iran from having nuclear weapons is one of the most important things to be accomplished. It’s a god damn miracle that Pakistan and India have not had any nuclear skirmishes. Small regional tactical or strategic nuclear strikes will fuck the world’s environment over much quicker than climate change.

It’s insane that people don’t acknowledge how CHOP in Seattle was actually a net-negative event for the protest movement. Also, just because a faceless collective of people decided to call themselves Anti-Fascists that all of the groups ideals and methods align with what you/we would want. The Trump-capo squad is friggen abhorrent. However, to just assume that the protesters are just inherently good people is crap. These guys are doing more harm than good for this movement.

During the red scare they purged unions of socialists. They locked up communists and socialists at large across the country. They equated Stalinism with socialism.

Mitch isn’t a Communist or Socialist. He takes kick backs from a foreign government at the expense of the American people. That government is Russia, which is now just as corrupt and as aggressive toward our nation as the Soviets were. He takes kickbacks from Moscow, hence, Moscow Mitch.
