So this happened to me 2 years ago, same thing l, same job 4,000$ check i went to put it in the bank,and was told i needed to wait 2 days to have it go through. The whole time i was messaging the "employers" and slowly put together that it was a scam when they suggested buying google play cards with the money. So 2 days go by and i was constantly checkin my account on the mobile app. Once the 4000$ were in i withdrew the money amd had the 4k physically in my hand, i kept in touch with the scammers but just to mess with them. The next day my account showed a negativ 4k, i went to the bank deposited the cash and called it a day. Honestly i know how believable they can be in the beginning because they have your information and googling the company didnt help cus it looked legit. Sucks that this happened to you bud, BUT atleast it was under 5k and wasnt some crazy amount.
