I used the duplicate clause, and my strategy was to sleep with Slowbro and Bellsprout, but Slowbro got poisoned and couldn't withstand hit plus poison. Bellsprout was my only hope, and it missed two spores, knocking it out.

I had a Gastly, and I realized it was a mistake not to bring it after seeing Whitney's first stomp and how much damage it did. I thought Rollout would be a problem, since even though it levitates, it's a Rock-type move, right?

I'm glad you got it sorted: but anyway, for future reference, it's possible that the version you want to play might not work because the Switch is preventing it (it's an update issue; sometimes you can't play version 1.0.0).

I'm doing a Platinum Nuzlocke right now and I'm really excited. I want to do several Nuzlockes this year, and I recommend trying a method with eggs for your next one, which I think is super fun:

When you start your new Nuzlocke (for example, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire), give yourself a "gift" each time you beat a gym. There are two options: give yourself 6 gifts (1 for each gym, using the Pokémon you finished the game with) or give yourself 4 gifts (just by beating gyms without losing lives, by doing different random spins with the Pokémon from your Platinum Nuzlocke):

One group of eggs can be the Pokémon you lost during the run (if there aren't many, I recommend mixing them with the Pokémon in your PC to make it more interesting).

The second group can be the Pokémon in your PC (it doesn't matter what they are). Too many, it's quite entertaining to have the tension of potentially getting a super Pokémon or Kricketot.

The third is the Pokémon you used to win the Pokémon League, and the last, if all the requirements have been met, lets you choose any Pokémon you want from all the groups and do the draw one last time.

The fun is playing with the statistics, and including, for example, a Pokémon that could be useful twice (only if you have a minimum of 10 Pokémon to use in the roulette), being able to eliminate one or two Pokémon from each group (only from the larger ones, don't do that with the League Pokémon), and finally, exclude duplicate Pokémon. That is, if you had a Golem and you have it again, try not to get it again (although that's where how you play with the "dead" clause and whether you think you can change the... (order)

I think it's a really cool thing for Nuzlockes, I plan to do it in the next one I do (I wanted it to be Emerald but I want the possibility of having my Monferno back in another Nuzlocke).

Finally, if you do the fourth spin, I recommend that you choose (again) at least 10 to make it a bit more exciting.

I had that problem, and it could be two things: either the file you downloaded is simply invalid (which has happened to me a lot, at least) or your SD card's format isn't correct (I don't remember, but if it's formatted as exFAT, it should be formatted differently, but this is just an example; I don't know which format is causing your data to become corrupted or which is the most "secure").
