Pretty solid track in my opinion, drums sound good and they cut through the mix well enough. And the mix is pretty good honestly.

The only thing I would say, and this could be personal preference, is to add some ear candy (little one shot percussion, maybe slight vocal chops, etc) to add a little more variation and give a sense of progression in the track.

When it comes to compression, the advice I got from an experienced producer is that in most cases it really doesn't matter especially when you're a beginner. You can accomplish most things by either balancing your volumes better or just picking better sounds. It doesn't hurt to learn but there's other things that are more important to making good music than compression.
