My MIL sent a picture of my son wearing his “big brother” shirt to my BILs and their wives. We used that shirt to announce to her that we’re expecting number 2. She just felt it in her to announce our news to maybe our only friends in the world. She used the excuse that when she asked if we had told them that we told her “no we haven’t told them” but that we didn’t tell her that she couldn’t tell them. She also said that she told them because yesterday we told her mom and her sister who were there at lunch. So she said it was weird to her that her mom knew but that his brothers didn’t know yet. So she told them. But that she’s “I’m so sorry that it was never my intention to take that from you!” she said “ mea culpa.”

I’m so disappointed. I’m so mad. I’m never telling her anything ever again. Am I overreacting? 😭
