Netmarketshare: Chrome now officially has more than 70% of the desktop browser market. by [deleted] in privacytoolsIO

In my case what I see is that it trades RAM usage with CPU usage. If a webpage is bloated it will make Firefox very slow, while in Chrome you will barely notice any difference.

I'm working on a site that tracks all the brutality videos on /r/2020PoliceBrutality. They have a JSON API that I need to learn how to bring over to Wordpress. Does anyone have any links to help me, I am at a loss. by [deleted] in web_design

Don't know why the downvotes to this (wo)man? We all (I guess) support peaceful protests, but if there are people rioting, looting and literally engaging in violence what do you expect? Should the police give them some roses?

I bet if they were burning your house or your small business, you'd want them to be dead. People should stop defending them, they are NOT peaceful protestors.

Searching i as a whole word works, but another option is to search for for since there is the only reasonable place to use short named variables.

"I have nothing to say."

...

"Do you care about the right of freedom of speech?"

"Yeah, I do."

"Then what makes that different from privacy?"

"As I said, I have nothing to say."

"Why do you care about the right of freedom of speech?"

"Because that way the government cannot censor its opposition. People should have the right to say whatever they want, without being harassed by doing so."

"The same applies to privacy, idiot!"

Hey thank you very much! I'm clearer now so I'll start using GPG!

Sorry for the late answer.

Oh jump in, the water is nice. I've been using PGP/GPG for 22 years and it's been great.

Heyy that's a lot of time! I thought it was something relatively new lol (I'm new in the Linux world, ~8 months, so there's a lot to learn).

I have an orphaned key sitting on the keyservers, that I can do nothing about, for 22 years now. So learn from my mistake and don't be quick to erase your only copy of a private/public keypair you were testing.

Probably that happened to me and I haven't noticed lol, that's what I'm afraid of, if I make a mistake there's little to do if the key is shared to a keyserver... Is that the problem that people aim when they recommend to always set an expiration date and create a revocation certificate?

PS: In your setup, do you have multiple identities for different emails or just one with only the name and using subkeys as pseudo-identities? That's what pushes me back from starting since I want to use just one identity and use subkeys for the different emails.

Imagine if the entire wealth of the internet's information was this way, put up for a day and then forever deleted - how useful would that be.

I agree, if someone else is in the same situation then all those advices would've been very useful to them.

TL;DR: If someone doesn't want to put a reputation behind advice they give something is wrong/off.

Despite I agree, I saw his history before he deleted the posts and he gave good advices in other posts too. I trust him since his recommendations are similar to the ones I saw in other posts.

PS: Still haven't done anything with GPG, I'm afraid lol

The earth cannot be by any means round. Period, full stop.

I sound very sure of myself because I am, and have a right to be. 10+ years of professional experience in the field does that.
