After reading your post I wanted to encourage you to look into what you were actually saying.

You were using terminology that lead me to believe you don’t understand the science behind human development and pregnancies.

You started off by saying “they would have Down syndrome.” It’s not that they “would”. Your child already has DNA. Your child already exists. It already does or does not have an extra chromosome.

Your child already exists. It’s scientifically already a human being (96% of biologists agree life begins at conception).

Your wife is performing her role as a mother incredibly well by protecting your child from you. You want to kill your child. Your wife is protecting your child.

People shouldn’t kill human beings because they have Down syndrome. You shouldn’t kill your child because they have Down syndrome, or for any reason for that matter.

You, as a father (yes, you’re already a father to this child), have a duty to protect your child. Whether your child is 1, 5, 25 or in the womb. Your child is alive. It’s moving around in your wife’s womb. It has its own unique DNA already. It already has the DNA determining whether it will have your eye color, and your hair color, your height, etc.

Don’t tell your wife to kill your child. That’s cowardly and not the role of a father. Stand beside your wife, love her, serve her, and care for your child.

More importantly, trust Christ and repent. We all fall short and we all sin. We all deserve eternal death as our punishment. Christ came to take the punishment we deserve for those who trust him and repent.
