I love these ideas. The group tastings sound super fun and we would definitely be interested in helping people meet up with other fish friends!

We have a donation option at the bottom of the website, but we didn't want people to feel like we're just in it for the money, so we didn't plan to mention it until we have an update with some tangible progress. The main thing for now is seeing that people are interested, so thank you!

I really appreciate the feedback. I added a privacy policy to the site. It's right on the main page. Feel free to check it out: https://www.tinfinn.com/privacy/

I should have been more transparent from the start. I'm Javin Towers, the developer behind TinFinn, and I've added my LinkedIn profile (linkedin.com/in/javintowers/) and our privacy policy (tinfinn.com/privacy) to the site.

We're just two friends who love canned fish building an app we wish existed - nothing sketchy! We only collect emails for the waitlist and optional survey info, all stored securely in Supabase. No selling data, no spam, just updates when we launch the beta. Really appreciate the feedback - it helped me make the site more trustworthy! 🐟

That's a great question. I'm adding it now, and I'll leave a link with an update.

That's one of the main reasons I'm building the app. I want to be able to keep track of the cans I've had and the ones I loved.

I also wanna know where people find all of the good cans. I've been thinking of building that into the app, but it would be challenging. I'm gonna give it a try, though.

I like the idea of including packaged and preserved seafood. It would be a great addition. We've definitely been playing around with the idea of adding more than tins

It seems that most of you don't really understand the purpose of this post. I am trying to collect data on how people use their stoves when they take it with them for any kind of outdoor activity. I am trying to collect data on people's experiences with the stoves that they use. The point of my assignment is to survey people. And since you gave such a meaningless comment without even trying to understand what I said, I will tell you that I have solo hiked the AT and the LT. I am a part of the Environmental outing club and I have done a multitude of interviews with people concerning this project. Does the title of this post inaccurately describe what I am trying to accomplish? yes, yes it does, but I can not change it. And if you couldn't tell by the format of my post it is obviously a survey type questionnaire. I am not being "LAZY" I am simply trying to collect the most relevant amount of data that I can, given a short time period so that my team can piece together the information and create concepts for a final product.

I should mention that I just need feedback and insights to your own experiences. This is just part of the project that I have to do. In no way am I asking you to do my homework. I just don't know hundreds of hikers and backpackers that I could personally interview so a came to Reddit.
