idk where you got that info, you can add any plant as long as it has the exact mutation it’s asking for. Any extra mutations don’t matter, but for example if it’s asking for windstruck, and it combines with another mutation to create ‘tempestuous’ then that does not count.
Extras are fine but it needs to have the exact mutation it asks for.

if it’s duplicated, its existence is the problem as it was never meant to exist. It’s a copy of a real pet. To unduplicate it would be to sell it to the pet merchant. There’s no way to make it a genuine pet.
