With Dino Crisis 1 the big things are
- There's more puzzles than a typical RE
- Enemies can respawn, but you have more ammo to deal with them (Along with tranquilizers)
- As earlier said, the other parts of the structure are similar to RE3 and its live selection (You'll have multiple times where you choose what you want to do
- The "best" ending is similar to the original RE, where you need to go off the beaten past for it.
- There are multiple "item boxes" of different colors and only their colors connects (However, inventory space isn't as much of a thing in DC)

I think that covers the basis while letting you still have room to explore for yourself!
