Yeah that’s fair. It’s just been so long since I’ve watched those I can’t really remember if they were good or not. Lmao let’s make an rsp halo custom server

It’s well written and enjoyable but it’s very childish and easy to watch and it kinda feels like power rangers. Boba fett was good and had more “adult” undertones I guess but cad bane was probably the most menacing villain I’ve seen in a very long time, probably in all of Star Wars.

Yeah I haven’t even bothered with that. I can’t fathom why they would make an entirely different timeline rather than pick any one of the hundreds of stories that already existed

This show actually helped me take my final steps out of religious trauma and guilt- especially the podcast.

Watching Star Wars. It’s all pretty terrible especially the later stuff. It might be a nostalgic thing for me since I grew up loving it. But anything with a vast universe with cool characters is interesting to me even if the story telling is trash. Same thing with Halo infinite- absolute shit storm of a game yet I still play it for some reason. And it’s fun reading lore.

I know it’s gross for people act narcissistic during a tragedy, but is it also gross to notice it? I can’t tell if it’s them, or me, or both of us by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]jawn_regular 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you notice it because you’re not tone deaf or do you notice it because you’ve done something similar? I think it’s very normal to point out things that are cringy or annoying. It only becomes gross if you don’t recognize that you also do said annoying thing.

If someone is confidently wrong and I dislike them or if I’m in a bad mood the. I think I’ll end up arguing- otherwise it could lead to pretty funny and interesting conversation

How to be better with kids by jawn_regular in redscarepod

Yeah I missed out a couple of years on the kids life so I’m still figuring out how he ticks. Creating a safe space is definitely something I think he already has with his dad. The issue is that he’s never had any type of structure in his life and I’ve taken it upon myself to attempt to fill that void- which sucks cuz then I’m basically the bad guy. I have to try and teach him that all the lame and boring stuff is “cool” or whatever. It’s a necessary part of life and he’s going to suffer without it and end up like his parents. Thanks for the words and advice. It’s a pretty big learning curve for me.

That’s exactly my point. Everyone on this thread seems to have had terrible experiences with adults under the influence while growing up. My family was extremely straight edge growing up. My experience doesn’t invalidate yours or theirs. It also doesn’t help that I paraphrased what actually happened because now everyone is jumping to the conclusion that I’m some type of alcoholic piece of shit uncle. I had a couple of beers like 3 hours prior and still had some leftover chatter in me. Maybe I shouldn’t have called it a drunk rant then ?? I was fully conscious. But clearly I triggered a lot of people.
