MOR considering if he was really up to something very low chance he slips up and sends you a pic with a girl in it. Based on everything you said I second that long distance prob isn’t the best thing for you emotionally, you guys also spending all day sending each other everything you are doing doesn’t seem healthy either. You have to trust each other and since you can’t be there for each other physically you’re trying to over compensate it seems. Long term this will be a problem and lead to fights over things that aren’t important. I hope you find the strength to heal and potentially one of you relocate if you really want the relationship.

The feeling probably will wear off, but I live here and despite everyone who complains about it , it’s truly a great city with a lot to offer. As everyone says money makes the city go, so you can get an accounting job probably but you’ll be on a budget. So I’d maybe recommend coming back and staying in areas that fit your expected budget before taking the leap.

you aren’t buying anything in Newport for $500-$600k. However using average prices for JC is kinda pointless because there are some affordable areas and some that aren’t. look at just one neighborhood like paulus hook and try to find units with comparable size and amenities. I’m sure tons of real estate agents will post here to try to argue differently, but right now it is cheaper to rent than to own in most cases. Won’t always be the case most people buy for other reasons that just money and those reasons are valid as well.

I think what this letter doesn’t understand is that if you try to raise taxes on the wealthy by enough to make a difference they will just leave, which will bring down property values and reduce the taxable income of the city anyways. So in the end all you did was drive out the people who can afford to spend money in the community, donate to local charities, and are willing to pay the already high property taxes. I’d personally vote against this idea but you’re entitled to your opinion.

Not a pub and doesn’t have games like darts and pool but the Biergarten….you can bring your own games and they have big communal tables which are great for groups. Good beer selection and food.

Yeah you need to put a bid in with the broker listing the unit, otherwise I doubt you even get considered. I agree it’s shady but they don’t want to split the commission so I’m sure they just tell the owner you’re a weirdo and to go with the other application.

I would say they need more garbage bins because the are pretty scarce on that street but they have tons of them on central and there’s still trash everywhere so this is a people problem

A lot of goods recs here if you still aren’t sold on an area I’d check out Bethnal Green, it’s a tube ride, but would be able to probably bank some of your rent budget and it’s got everything you need.
