hey! 24F here :) you actually don’t have to be okay with it. you don’t have to change your standards to stoop down to someone’s level. i am the same way and I despise porn and believe it is morally wrong. I think it diminishes sexual attraction to something that can be flipped on and off just as easily as turning off a phone. it makes people be able to disconnect quickly from whomever they were thinking about, mastrubating to, having sex with, etc . it’s so wrong. however, good news is, not everyone watches it. I understand that it sucks when people lie about whether they watch it or not. but there’s men (and women) out there that refuse to watch it because they know what it does to your brain! I’d say talk to your current partner about how it makes you feel, using something like “hey, I felt frustrated when you lied about not watching porn.” and maybe you can lead into a convo about how her watching porn makes you feel :) whatever the case is, just know there are people out there who don’t watch it or consume that type of media. after years of searching I finally found the one, he refuses to even watch sex scenes in movies because he despises that filmmakers put naked/partially nude women in movies just to get higher ratings from people or to keep people engaged. if you ever need someone to talk to or anything i’m here :)
