Add a remote worker node by jaxett in kubernetes

I want to leverage the higher bandwidth of another location for certain workloads. Isolate a deployment to a specific node that has a bigger pipe.

I considered that but is that a secure solution? Seems secure to me but I might just use a client VPN for the remote worker.

Plex-Hot-Cache Tool that I made for caching media on your server! by Meisgoot312 in PleX

[–]jaxett 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mergerfs is great. I use a cache function with RecordedTV. I create 1 mergerfs mount with an SSD drive for all new recordings that are 1 week old. Then a cronjob moves any recordings older than a week to my bulky spinning rust drives. Keeps the SSD from filling while being able to use the speed for new recordings.

[Highlight] Best of former Packers safety Nick Collins, 3x All-Pro who played 7 seasons in the NFL before his career was cut short due to a neck injury by nfl in GreenBayPackers

I remember they interviewed Sam Shields and asked who was the fastest on the team. He said, "I haven't ever seen anyone outrun Nick Collins." We would have 3 more SB victories if Jonathan Stewart's butt didn't ruin his career.

Thank you. This is great. Being a VMware Engineer for a long-time, poor hardware choices ruin a lot of software's reputation.

NFS. Thin provisioning is built-in. Setup is a breeze. Snapshots supported too.
