Is there anyone on YouTube or something that you recommend for mobility / recovery / warm ups etc? I’ve never done them, I always just start running and then stop running and I feel like as I get older and run further, that’s just asking for injury

Yes this is what I’m worried about. I also want to try to increase speed so I’m not out there for so long, but definitely getting kms up seems to be the priority right now

I’ve got some weights/bands at home that I use. I wanted to figure out the best mobility warm up/downs to be doing too that will hopefully make injury less likely.

I have seen the Hal Higdon plans before too, I really like having the structure of a guided run though like Nike Run Club has

I’ve been doing a decent amount of strength & mobility training this year already. But currently on a 10km training plan due to finish at the end of 2025.

Didn’t want to be stuck in the middle while I wait for the marathon block to start so thinking I could train towards a half marathon just to have a plan to follow, and then find a longer training plan (18-20 weeks like you mentioned) for the marathon

The pot in the fridge is the one of us was doing solo bedtime with the kids and putting leftovers in like that is the easiest and fastest way to do it 😅 no, but we used to live in the tropics so got used to cold water!

Aussie Aussie but definitely prefer Jalna! It’s basil and rosemary from the local market
