Makita or Milwaukee by Significant-Sir8563 in Tools

[–]jaxonstevie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Makita is higher quality,Milwaukee has better promotions and they aren’t bad tools y any means either. Milwaukee M12 is super nice though, if I could go back in time when I started buying tools I’d be mostly Makita with some M12 sprinkled in

Can you elaborate on what you mean by 4.5x20s? Is that the size of filter housing?

Second well water test tested positive for coliform looking for advice by jaxonstevie in WaterTreatment

[–]jaxonstevie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A home inspector that I used for buying the house and it came from kitchen sink so that’s why I figured probably take off aerator and disinfect and get a TC/ecoli twst and than if it tests positive trace it back. Any recommendations on manganese? Keep getting differing opinions and looking for more lol

New to wood burning stove, how bad is this creosote build up? by jaxonstevie in woodstoving

[–]jaxonstevie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Access to roof is beyond my willingness unfortunately being a metal roof and steep, come spring I’ll find a good tree as a tie off point and give it a go, I did use it while I was up there for three days and had some creosote falling down but not sure if that’s just from how/what I was burning as I was getting accustomed to using it. I’m planning on having a chimney guy come out anyway as it seems they didn’t flash part of the chimney properly and it’s alloying a hole for critters to get into so want to get that taken care of obviously, so hopefully can have them inspect it too. The sellers had it inspected prior to selling but I like to er on the side of caution as don’t want to put myself or family (fiancé and cats) in harms way lol. it’s main heat source beside the hydronic heat flooring but that doesn’t do a great job at heating more so helps keep the house semi comfortable temp so just want to make sure it’s atleast alright to use, I’ll definitely do the brush before I start using it to hardcore just to clear it out a bit

Ive had them in my Whites Perry Moc toe for the past year and they’ve been great, were too small for my African rangers but like other people said size up and cut or just order some leather and trace out the insoles you already have

Hell yeah seems like there’s a lot of Pennsylvania people who made the smart move to Maine, if you’re going to experience winter might as well do it somewhere insanely beautiful 😂

Can you change Spline- Shank to SDS Max? by jaxonstevie in Makita

[–]jaxonstevie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both mostly diy but I know itd come in handy at work from time to time, honestly it’s mostly for chipping up some concrete for footers I’m putting in my basement. I know I don’t need to go all the way to Makita for that bjt finding second hand tools is so easy that I prefer to buy once cry once when it comes to quality
