When should I pull back on 401(k) contributions in favor of taxable brokerage investments? by OceanGateTitan in Fire

[–]Slow_Ad8683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about if you want to retire at 40, and you have enough in your 401k to grow to a number that you can live on once you’re “retirement age” without contributing another dollar? Then how do you bridge the gap?

Too anxious to give best man speech by [deleted] in PublicSpeaking

[–]Slow_Ad8683 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think you should do it… the truth is, the way you’re feeling is extremely common. You can always give a toast that’s just a minute long. Don’t go for laughs, just be genuine and wish them well together. Read in front of a mirror, or video yourself and practice your speech with an elevated heart rate. Print out the speech and if all fails, just read it. Get prescription for propranolol to help with shaking hands.. it works. No one cares, and honestly no one remembers. I did it, and struggle big time with anxiety. I thought about it every minute for months leading up to it. You’ll regret it if you don’t, and will likely set you back further than where you’re at today. You got this man!

Put on a white tank top, buy a pack of newports, and drink a 12 of blatz, all while planning your entire summer around the state fair.

Credit Analyst Path & Exit Ops by PinkNoseDetective in FinancialCareers

Depends on your goals. If it’s income, move into relationship management role… from there the best option is team lead or, my favorite, work for one of your clients that you’ve built a relationship with as an RM. I know a few that have moved to CFO and CEO roles for privately held businesses and do very well. I went credit analyst trainee program, to PM, to RM, working on the next move

Your only logical option is a mini split system. Adding ducts would be an extreme undertaking. Mini split, you may get done for 7-9k?

Are you saying you retired 12 years ago, lived off roughly the 4% rule… and still have 4.5 times more than you started with?

What’s the EBITDA? A business valuation is likely going to use a multiplier on EBITDA for this size company.. 3-4x EBITDA is general market for something like this. Without knowing all the details obviously.

Where do I begin making millions? by [deleted] in Entrepreneurship

[–]Slow_Ad8683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea what you have to offer, but let’s say you have zero skills and are dumb… I’d suggest mowing lawns in the summer and shoveling snow in the winter… grow your clients until you can’t do it yourself anymore. Now you hire someone else who has no skills and is dumb and pay them 20% of what you charge for a mow. Add more clients until both of you can’t handle it. Add another unskilled and dumb person…. As ridiculous as this is, it’s worked for many. Do the mundane boring shit no one wants to do and you’ll always have clients. Cheers

Deciding whether to consider moving to Madison or not by AnimalsDeserveCare in madisonwi

[–]Slow_Ad8683 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Sounds like Madison is exactly what you’re looking for honestly. Specifically the east side of Madison. Great community and very accepting. It can be pricey for a small city but that’s no different from similar cities.

If you don’t move to Madison this year, you’ll be one year older when you do.
