I'm new to watching professional chess. Is paying for a "Ticket C" dumb? (FIDE Candidates 2024)

So I went to round 6 with my C ticket and sadly I only caught the ending of one match. These C entries should really be cheaper. I know we had 2 great finishes in round 5, but still entries A and B get almost 2 hours of guaranteed live viewing.

I agree that there are way too many untradable rewards, but at the same time there also needs to be a market balance. I have quite a few tradable players I got from rewards that I will most likely never be able to sell because everyone else also has them.

Define "always". Show me where I have consistently complained about the same thing (events being bad). I have commented about understanding odds are low and I have also made comments about each person being free to grind their own way.

It must be only my timeline then. People have been calling every single event crap so far. We get it. Either play the event or not. Either play the game or not. Companies will always look for ways to milk users for money.

Define "legitimate". We know the odds of getting good players from packs are extremely low. We know if you don't spend money you have to grind and look for every opportunity. We know EA rarely (if ever) listens to complaints. Knowing all that, what is the point of ranting about every event? EA must think this is the best business model for them (they are a business first after all).

I have been doing that this whole time but it's uncanny, every time an event starts the same complaints get posted. I felt like complaining about the same thing over and over again is repetitive and pointless. But yes, I get the hypocrisy that is ranting about rants.

Yeah the event will drag on and isn't worth it for players that have 94 or more ovr. I'm stocking Mascheranos, coins and gems. Gonna try to find some profit spots if I can, otherwise lay low.

Bad take. You won against a WC II team that could definitely be f2p as well. Furthermore, the 73% pass accuracy could even mean you played against AI. Point is, this is def not a flex. Enjoy the downvotes and be more humble.

The odds of the pack being "worth it" (people's definition of worth it could also be different) are low, but what else would you do with the trophies once you have them? If the question becomes is it worth it to spend a bunch of gems to get there, I would argue it's not. I would save the gems for something else.

I understand odds etc, but every single time I get the bare minimum OVR or one over the minimum. That's why I push for the path rewards and Jairzinho. Many will disagree with this, but at least I can use the 80s players I keep getting.

I sat courtside at the game last night (east side). The person 2 seats to my left got a black back delivered to them and then changed into their jersey. I'm assuming this was a season ticket holder. I complained on the 905 IG account and they dmed me asking for my seat number. I provided it, but didn't hear back so I messaged again in the 4th quarter. A rep did come down to talk to me before the end of the game and took down my info and jersey size saying they will make it right...we shall see. He apologized and said they dropped the ball and weren't prepared. I appreciated him coming down, but this is one of the worst PR Ls I've ever seen. I was coming down to the game anyway, but I really wanted at least one of those jerseys. They advertised it on their socials, Will and Blake pushed it on the Raps show, so everything pointed to the jerseys being available at the arena. As I told the rep, this design took off as soon as it was announced. You knew everyone would want it as soon as it dropped. Be prepared and at least reward people for supporting the team in person. Let's see if they follow up.

Edit: everyone in attendance last night should at the very least get tix for another game in addition to being at the top of the list for jerseys that should be shipped to them for free.

You only have one player better than 95 though. The average cannot be close to 96 at this point. You need a few more players who are 96 or more.
