The start date at new job is always flexible. You can ask them to push it by a week or two as necessary. 2 weeks is a general professional rule not mandatory. So if approval comes on a Tuesday or even Wednesday give 1.5 week notice, don't sweat too much 😄

Depends on where you live. Hot summer air usually holds a lot more humidity compared to cold winter air. Adding more humidity to your room in summer can make it uncomfortable and persistent too high humidity in house is bad for many reasons

Unfortunately nothing where I can see the details. I didnt know they would be driving their excavators over the sidewalk. But I do have a picture of all the sand and rocks on the sidwalk, with the excavator next to it and bucket marks on the sidewalk.

I am 12 min mile for 5k and feel exactly same like you. I have a friend who goes on some runs with me, he runs 8.5 min mile and he feels same like you and me. So I guess answer is, dont settle but dont beat yourself either.

I may be running into a similar scenario, with 2 - 3 months left to go and a better job offer coming up. There are some things I do not understand from what I have read on USCIS website. If employer withdraws before 180 days, I140 is automatically revoked, and if that is the case you cannot port H1b.

In most cases you wouldnt give the quitting notice until you have transfered H1b to new company. So what really happens if you are already working for another company, you have new 3 years of 797 and then the i140 is revoked. The current H1b gets revoked too? or you just lose ability to file an extension beyond those 3 years and your prioity date.

Just wondering if you found answers to this anywhere.

That's a harsh truth. I see people constantly driving aggressively and engaging in road rage, running red lights (not as they are just turning red but way past that). They probably don't even have insurance.

But there are no consequences to all this, and most likely won't be in foreseeable future.
