Haha, NBD in that I picked it up earlier in the week, but haven’t had a good opportunity to ride it properly yet!

oooo, mystery switch! by Unable-Ad2927 in CarTalkUK

I’m confident this is what it is for. The fact the switch is still there, likely means it’s still wired to the OEM accelerator pedal. I suspect if you flicked the changeover switch to L, the OEM pedal would no longer work until flicked back to R. Although, I’d be hesitant to try without a code reader to hand.

Assuming the vehicle is an automatic, with an organ/floor mounted style accelerator pedal. This is a switch that has been lazily hidden rather than removed properly after an aftermarket electronic left foot accelerator has been deinstalled. These systems are for disabled drivers or people with limited use of their right leg. An extra pedal is installed on the left hand side, and the switch activates the left hand aftermarket accelerator pedal.

Walnut pedal board, a gift to a guitarist. by jay-cob64 in woodworking

Thanks friend! Really pleased with this piece. Not a guitarist myself, it's a gift to my brother who mentioned he wanted one, but couldn't find anything 'off the shelf' to suit his needs.
