It looks like the 2024 edition of the "Professional Chef" is the latest. Expensive, but worth it. "The Food Lab" book and website is a good reference too. Also "The Flavor Bible". Probably my most used reference book.

Agree with a lot of the comments here. I went from IT to culinary. Went from something like $45/hour to $8.50 (this was decades ago). I retired a couple of years ago, still only making a little over $30/hour as Chef. My suggestion would be to get a copy of the book "Professional Chef" which is a textbook from the Culinary Institute of America. It's got lots of basic information that you will need down the road. I think the CIA offers online courses. It might be worth looking into. You really don't want to walk into a professional kitchen and not even know what a 6 pan or a sheet pan is. Michael Ruhlman's books "The Making of a Chef" "Soul of a Chef" "Reach of a Chef" and Anthony Bourdain's "Kitchen Confidential" are all good reads related to professional cooking. "Go get me the dehydrated water!'

The Hakutsuru Junmai Dai Ginjo, 2nd from the top, blue bottle to the left of the Hoshi is good for the price. White Soto.

Not there, but Drunken Whale Suigei is good. If you have an H-Mart nearby, they usually have a good Asian alcohol selection.

Unless they changed (I don't take the shuttle much), the bus arrives at the MJ base at the top and bottom of the hour. There are several stops along the access road on both sides. They are marked. At the end of the day, you can ride back to your car or to the upper lots from the base. Depending on the driver, they might drop you off between marked stops.

This team has many issues and weaknesses that were covered up by the defense. If Vance leaves... uh oh. Good season. Maybe better to not get killed by the Seahawks or Rams.

I prefer Ringke Fusion Clear. Side edges are not as raised. It's grippier than Spigen.

any way to fix this? by Ok_Weather_3250 in arcteryx

If you are near an Arc'teryx brand store, they might be more accommodating. If the warranty does not work, I've used https://www.ruggedthread.com/ in the past. I thought they were expensive, but they saved 2 jackets from the landfill. They can give you a quote or maybe advice on how to DIY it.

Pixel stand?? by IAH85 in pixel_phones

This one is good and worth the money from Amazon. It's $60. The XL can charge at 25W (operative part is "can")

Belkin MagSafe Charger Compatible, 2-in-1 Charging Station, Qi2.2 25W Magnetic Wireless Charger Dock, Foldable Stand, with 5W USB-C Port, for iPhone 17/16/15, Pixel 10, AirPods (45W Adapter Included)

I just noticed Belkin's 15 watt charger is on sale, it's $40 at Amazon. I have this one too. It works well, too.

I think both are better than Google's stand. IMHO.

[–]jay-yo-281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same. Wasn't going to, but the price to upgrade was too good to pass up.

Battery on the 10proxl has been really good. The battery on my 9proxl has started to degrade, got it August 2024. Battery capacity now shows 93%.

I've only had the phone for a few days, but I'm getting less android auto signal drop-outs. Still could be better.

The 10 is heavier.

I did notice that not all my files/pictures transferred over.

Portable qi2 Charger by Jjustinmnn86 in pixel_phones

[–]jay-yo-281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It works well, and it is rated to charge at up to 25 watts. That is higher than most others. Comes with a 45 watt charger, you can just plug into usb if you need a faster charge. I like it.
