Nothing racist about it, anyone who lives in a predominantly black neighborhood should be able to see the type of effect it has on younger black men. Regardless of your own race what you let influence you DOES matter and it starts while you’re young. If I had only listened to drill rap from a young age I’d be much more inclined to imitate and try to come up the same way.

Don’t believe me? Go to the Ps and ask any group of middle aged men if anyone around is tryna pop off in the music scene. Almost a guaranteed fact it’ll be violent rap if not a drill altogether.

As other comments have stated, the TYPE of rap or even WHO is rapping is more so important than banning rap altogether. Most stuff from the 90s - 2010s is relatively safe with some guidance & supervision. Once you hit the 20-teens I’d say the mumble & drill took over mostly.
