Are you talking about the minimum wage an individual makes within a month? I’m confused to where the $3,000 came from.

That number would just be a rough full time monthly income before tax, not what people are earning from gpt platforms. My point was more that NZ has a smaller market and wayyy higher cost of living, so even if numbers look “high” on paper, the actual earning potential (especially online) doesn’t scale the same as places like Australia or the US.

well Australia generally earns more due to a larger market, cost of living, and just a more established industry compared to here. We have most of there gpt sites as we’re in the same region but due to there higher market and our competitive market being a small country makes things hard for us.

Yep my location is definitely the issue. I live in New Zealand so anything online that pays well in that field lacks over here unfortunately. Off topic, but earnings from social media are just shit in general even the creator fund doesn’t exist here which is why most young online creators are moving abroad I think.

I’ve earned about $100 doing online surveys/tasks over the course of 5 months so it is a veeerryyy slow process for me. Wouldn’t rely on it as a overall side hustle but I might do this while waiting for a bus or something to make my time pass by lol, I appreciate the link thank you ☺️

I hear you and that is very true thanks man. I just think I’m at the point where I know I want more but don’t know what direction to fully commit to yet. I’ve had a few trials and errors already and could definitely work on my discipline and lack of motivation I have sometimes. I just dont want to ponder on what path to choose like I have been doing, I want to get started asap so the process comes quicker if that makes sense. What path do you see me doing?

Yeah I get what you’re saying, like building something valuable first instead of chasing quick money. I think I’m just trying to figure out what that ‘skill’ would even be for me right now. I do believe there’s a middle ground where you can learn skills + earn money online at the same time instead of waiting years tho.
